We absolutely loved staying here while hiking the Kumano Kodo. Such a cute and clean traditional Japanese room with an amazing view of the lake. We had a private dining room with a table and heated cutout floor for our legs. Very comfy and all the food was delicious. It was all very traditional. We really loved the Onsen available. They had the usual separate male/female ones but also a private one my husband and I could use together.Great stay!

The landlady was very nice. The food was also good. Especially the sweet tempura is the best👍. Next time, I want to go when I can eat sweetfish. Of course, hot springs are also good hot springs.

It's located just off National Route 168. It is a three-story building, with the first floor being a space for relaxing with an entrance and sofa, the second floor being a dining area, restaurant, baths, and guest rooms, and the third floor being all guest rooms.Although the building facilities are old-fashioned, they seemed to be well-maintained.The toilet has also been renovated into a Western-style washlet. The room was also equipped with Wi-Fi.Due to the influence of the coronavirus, I was able to have a private room at the restaurant, so I was able to enjoy my meal slowly. The food consisted of salt-grilled sweetfish caught by the innkeeper himself, tempura and candied amago, and wild vegetables...it wasn't exactly spicy, but it was delicious.I think this is a good inn for people who want to take a bath, eat delicious food, and relax in a quiet and relaxing inn in the mountains.

Totsukawa Onsen declares that the hot springs are fed directly from the source, and this inn also allows you to bathe in hot springs that are fed directly from the source. What was even more surprising was that there was even a drinking fountain outside the entrance.Even in places where the hot spring water flows directly from the source, there are very few places that have drinkable hot spring water, which is extremely rare.I think that's why the hot springs are so fresh and clean.Although it is small, there is an open-air bath that can be reserved for private use, and anyone can use it if it is vacant. The night sky was so beautiful, and soaking in the hot springs fed directly from the source under a sky full of stars felt extremely luxurious. The main dish is river fish, and it was my first time eating sweetfish sashimi, and it was very delicious. The salt-grilled sweetfish seems to have been caught by the owner himself. Some people may find it unpleasant, but it had a fishy smell in a good way and was very delicious.Fried Ago goes perfectly with alcohol. It's quite deep in the mountains, so it might be difficult to get there, but you can enjoy wonderful hot springs and delicious food, so I think it's definitely worth the trip.
