2024 May, I would like to leave an extremely positive review for the Basecamp Imari - LODGE. Our stay there was simply fantastic! The peace and seclusion of the place made our vacation a relaxing experience. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy nature in complete peace. The operator was extremely friendly and accommodating. He gave us valuable tips for excursions in the area, which made our stay even more varied. His hospitality and helpfulness were really first class. The Basecamp Imari - LODGE is a real insider tip for anyone who wants to escape everyday life and spend a relaxing time in nature. We will definitely be back!

Charming café where we ate a tasty French-inspired meal for lunch, just like the owner. The decor is charming in a beautiful, very well renovated old house, the welcome is very warm, with the added bonus of advice on activities in the surrounding area. The village is worth visiting, its porcelain shops and its temple, the climb of which is worth the detour. Go there without hesitation!

The setting of the restaurant is nice, but the cooking and customer service seem to be done by amateurs, which is a shame.

A stylish cafe hidden in the small town of Imari! The Western-style lunch and snacks are delicious, and the atmosphere is very comfortable! There is a B&B, maybe you can stay there next time, it’s worth visiting again!

Visited with co-workers on Saturday. Since I had already eaten lunch, I ordered pudding and coffee.Well, it's generally delicious, but aren't the reviews highly rated? It was an old house and had a retro feel to it, but the overall balance was not good, or rather, the store felt unsettling.

What a wonderful place!! I stayed here with a friend and it was one of the best parts of our pottery shopping trip! The owners are so wonderful and kind.Room was very comfortable and spacious.Breakfast was great. The house is beautiful and so cozy. The very warm welcome we received made me feel like I was visiting family.Aside from staying here, we also tried our hand at wagashi making. They offer this workshop on a regular basis and making a reservation was very easy. I believe reservations are required. The wagashi we made was tasty and went very well with the matcha we made to go with it.Since we were enjoying it so much, we also had lunch here. The food was delicious!! I don’t see meatloaf very often in Japan so when I do, I have to order it. It was delicious! It was a beautiful day so we sat outside, which was very nice.We had some wonderful conversations with the owners and we even got a little tour of the town. The town itself is really charming, with older buildings and quite a few pottery shops.I highly recommend visiting Okawachiyama Pottery Village and either staying at Base Camp Imari or at least stopping by for a wagashi workshop and lunch. It will truly be a highlight of your trip.I will definitely be visiting again.
