Off the beaten path and quite the walk from any train station esp with all your luggage, but worth it esp if you're planning on having a night in like we did. We walked to the very close by grocery store and bought food to cook and relaxed. It's such a nice space and an amazing story to tell.

A guest house where you can rent out a temple. I think it is rare to be able to stay overnight in a temple that continues to function as a temple. There are four large beds and an additional futon, so I think it can be enjoyed luxuriously with a small group or lively with a large group. This time, we stayed with 3 adults and 3 children.Meals were not included, but there was a proper kitchen (with a dishwasher) and a supermarket nearby, so I was able to enjoy delicious food freely. At night, there was a barbecue set and smoking equipment, so I tried smoking for the first time, and it was very easy and delicious, and went well with the wine and champagne I brought. We also enjoyed fireworks. In the morning, bake pancakes and relax while looking out at the garden. I meditated in the main hall and was able to enjoy the Nara morning without having to go to Nara Park.It seems like the operator has changed after the coronavirus, so it looks like it's going to be an even nicer space.
