I thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs.Although it is a small inn, there are three different types of hot spring water flowing directly into the large bathtubs. What's more, since it's a lodging in the mountains, the open-air bath is unenclosed and feels very comfortable. If the night is clear, you can literally enjoy the night sky filled with stars. Although the building is old, every corner is well-maintained and clean. We also offer a free cup of coffee brewed with De'Longhi (guests only). This is an inn that we would like to protect so that it can be used with common sense and continued for many years to come.

I found it by chance a few years ago and thought I'd go when I returned home, so I went there, but the hot springs were great, but it was at night so I didn't know what the environment was like, so when I went there first thing in the morning, I was surprised to find that there were more people than I expected. .

20240922 Use "Horoka Onsen Kanoya" as a day trip hot spring. Opened around 1946. Bathing 9:00-18:00, last reception 17:30. Adults 600 yen. Free shoe storage, free lockers for valuables, no changing lockers. Equipment includes buckets, chairs, and soap. No shampoo, no hair dryer. No cell phone range, no WiFi. There are 3 bathhouses (large mixed bathing bath, mixed bathing open-air bath, and small bath for women). Swimsuits not allowed. ① There are 7 mixed bathing baths (3 hot water only + 4 cold water only), 3 indoor baths (sodium spring, steel spring, calcium spring), and 1 cascading bath. ②The mixed bathing open-air bath has one open-air bath (sulfur spring) and an outdoor bathing space. There are no chairs for resting. ③The women's small bath has 1 bathtub and 1 indoor bath (sodium spring). The spring quality includes hypotonic high temperature sodium chloride spring, iron-containing spring, calcium sulfate spring, and sulfur spring. Approximate spring temperature 70℃. pH unknown. This is the only hot spring inn currently in operation at Horoka Onsen, which is close to Nukabira Onsen. It is a well-established facility with a very retro and desolate atmosphere. I think it is the hot spring that people choose because it is the opposite of luxury and convenience. There was a bar of soap provided, but it might be a good idea to bring your own body soap, shampoo, etc. As a washing area, hot water constantly flowed out of a kalan (or rather, a PVC pipe), collected in a tub, and overflowed onto the bath floor. It's wonderful. The open-air bath looks like a wild hot spring where hot water is collected by digging into the ground on a hill, and some parts look like a stalagmite-like limestone dome. This time, I visited at around 5:15 pm, just as the show was about to end, and they were very nice and friendly. In recent years, problems with mixed bathing etiquette have been occurring frequently, and many warnings have been posted. Please read it. In the worst case scenario, the day trip hot springs may be cancelled, so I would like to ask those who have nefarious intentions to leave the site, and somehow allow the hot springs to continue to exist.Horoka Onsen is a secret hot spring located deep in the Daisetsuzan Mountain Range, at the trailhead for Mt. Ishikari and Mt. Nipetsu, and there is a high possibility that you will be greeted by sika deer and red foxes around the inn and along the way.

“Shika no Tani” is my favorite ryokan. A couple whose landlady has moved into a facility due to old age and has come from Sapporo to help regularly? moved in and took over management. There is a reason to move here to the hot springs. It was a convenient replacement. There are reasons I can't write about here, but the kitchen and home appliances are more organized and easier to use than before. The rooms are also equipped with more facilities, making it easier to spend your time.As Horoka Onsen does not receive commercial garbage collection, the rule for taking garbage home continues to be in place. The bath is as wonderful as ever. Needless to say. It seems that there has been a problem recently with alligators, but this is only a problem for day-trip visitors to the baths, and if you stay overnight there will be no problem. By the way, you can secretly take photos of the bathroom only for guests staying at the hotel. The guests asked each other how many times they visited this hot spring and where they came from. What a way to interact with each other. Afterwards, we went to the common room on the first floor, exchanged drinks and snacks that we had brought with us, and talked as the night wore on.It has one of the best atmospheres in the country, so I hope it continues for a long time. You can hear the sounds of animals in the distance, giving it a great mountain gorge atmosphere.5,000 yen for a room without meals with a futon.Visited in August 2024

I stayed at a hot spring in Nukabira and came on a day trip, but I couldn't really relax, so I stayed here for two nights without meals. it was good. Take a hot spring bath on your own time and take a walk around the area by car?The quality of the spring water, the temperature of the spring water, and the open-air bath are great. The photo was taken under conditions that allowed photography.

Day trip bathing costs 600 yen per person. There is also a parking lot. There was no shampoo, conditioner, or body soap. There was soap. There was also no hair dryer. It is better to bring your own toiletries. I was told that I could use the hair dryer I brought in the outlet in the break room. "I think it's better to say a few words when using it."For women, there is an indoor bath exclusively for women, and the scenery outside (as seen in the 5th photo) is beautiful, so I thought it was worth taking a bath! When taking a mixed bath, if you go as a couple, I think it's better to have the man check to see if there are any other people! When we went there, it was around 2 o'clock on a weekday and there was no one there, so it was a good thing. Anyway, the view from the women-only indoor bath is the best. I thought it was worth entering even if it wasn't a mixed bath👍

There are hot baths and lukewarm baths. The open-air bath is in the middle of nature and is the best!
