A cosy hotel with delicious local food with rooms with amazing ocean views. Chef Enmi was an amazing host and our dinner featured seasonal crab and other local specialties from Shonai.

I was able to see the magnificent sunset over the Sea of Japan from my window, and also enjoy a carefully prepared meal.On top of that, the staff, especially the elderly, are polite and kind. I felt at ease.If I were to be greedy, I would have no complaints if the morning meal had been better prepared.

This is an inn where you can see the Sea of Japan.Although it is an inn run by the Yamagata Prefecture Municipal Employees Mutual Aid Association, the customer service, rooms, food, and location all exceed that of a sanatorium. The dinner in particular was delicious and satisfying, but the breakfast was just average.

I used it for a few days before New Year's in late December last year. I had previously stayed at a minshuku and a long-established inn in Yunohama Onsen, but this time I stayed here. Although the baths are not open 24 hours a day, I enjoyed soaking in the hot springs in the morning before and after breakfast, around 2:00pm to 3:00pm after lunch, and in the evenings after dinner and before going to bed. I asked for a smaller course for the food, but it was still a lot, so it would be nice if there was a hot spring treatment course with a smaller meal or a meal course. The food and rice were also very delicious. The sea was right in front of us and the wind was strong in winter.Yunohama Onsen is also famous for its beautiful sunsets, and although we expected good weather during the day on the last day, we were unable to see the sunset as it was hidden by clouds. I just enjoyed the beautiful scenery. There are not many sightseeing spots within walking distance. For places with great views, we recommend Yunohama Onsen Shrine and Kotohira Shrine. However, it didn't seem like it was well maintained, so that's a shame. There are also several public baths, so it might be a good idea to visit them as an outdoor bath.During lunch, we took a walk and went to a sushi restaurant (Makoto Sushi) and an Italian restaurant (Yunohama 100 Years Kitchen). As a hot spring area, there are few restaurants. It was a great time to read books, reflect on this year, and think about next year's goals. All the staff were friendly and I felt very comfortable. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.By the way, this inn is a recreation facility for Yamagata prefecture municipal employees, but it is also open to the general public like me.The beach is said to be crowded with beachgoers in the summer, and there is even a lottery to find this inn. In that case, I forgot to ask if it would be available for the general public to use.

I used it for the first time during the swimming season. Choose a gourmet course for your meal. While watching the beautiful sunset. The steak was a great selection of seafood including beef tenderloin, large oysters, and turban shells, and the fried rockfish was served with sesame oil and salt-koji sauce. Dinner was already very filling, and the chiffon cake for dessert was so fluffy that it looked like it was homemade and had a hint of liqueur in it. Thank you for the perfect and delicious dinner. Breakfast is Japanese food. Some portions are buffet-style, and you can get as much salad, drinks, ice cream, and yogurt as you want. I was able to enjoy the right amount and it was delicious. The sea is right in front of you across the road. There is a shower room/changing room and foot washing area for guests. There was also a washing machine in the shower room, and I was able to dehydrate the room. Buckets are also provided for fireworks at night. It is also equipped with an electric air filler that fills the float with air.Inside the building, there are several retro game consoles and a table tennis table in the playroom. There was also a karaoke room.Massage machines are free. There's only one car, so first come first served, but it's a blissful time. The people at the front desk are kind both day and night. There are many selfie sticks available for rent at the front desk. The shop next to the front desk sells shaved ice for 250 yen, and there is also a candy shop in 10 yen increments. This is a wonderful inn with great attention to detail. I want to go again next year! No, I want to go not only in summer but also in other seasons. I have become busy.

The cleaning was thorough, and the staff were friendly.Above all, the food was amazing. For dinner, I ordered the cheapest option, but it was only two dishes less, which was enough for me. The rice was fresh and the best. The ice cream is a high-quality product with vanilla beans and is the best.I ate it many times with unlimited refills.

This time, I chose a seaside hot spring to soothe the fatigue from my trip to Dewa Sanzan and made a reservation directly. Most of the participants were related to the Municipal Employees Mutual Aid Association Recreation Center, but I would like to thank them for treating us as outsiders so comfortably. In particular, the food is well thought out and very satisfying. (It was the cheapest inn I used this time, but the food was the best)

Public accommodation? The facilities and hospitality are so wonderful that you might be mistaken. The inside of the building has been renovated after earthquake-proofing work and is very beautiful. You can enjoy the ocean view from the window. If you want to go swimming in the sea, you can get there just by walking for 1 minute. It's a great location. The regular course meals are enough to satisfy your appetite. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal due to the coronavirus pandemic, but normally you can enjoy a buffet. In addition, the baths are at just the right temperature, and you can enjoy two baths at different times for men and women. You can relax until 10 o'clock the next day.
