To be honest..the worst hotel we stayed in since the 6 weeks we are traveling in Japan. The building and rooms are very old, not clean and the matrasses are really bad. Breakfast could be much better. Overall, way to overprized and they should renovate the place.

Although staff were very friendly and attentive, the building, rooms and facilities are starting to show their age. I slept well enough, but the mattresses and linen could be upgraded. That said, hotels in Yonezawa seem to fill up quickly so I was very happy that Select Inn had a room available.Located about halfway between Yonezawa Station and the main historical attractions around Uesugi Shrine and Matsugaseki Park.Yonezawa Beef, local restaurants and the town's nightlife area are nearby.WiFi worked well enough.Nice to see a kettle and ceramic mug for my coffee :)

I guess the building itself is old & run down. The most disappointing thing however was how dirty the room was, especially the aircon. 😕

Super cheap and convenient. A hidden gem.Of course there are some price points, but it's enough. The tourist spots in the city are also nearby, and it was just a meter away by taxi (using Uesugi Shrine and Niku no Tokiwa).About 10 minutes by bus from Yonezawa Station? A short walk from Chuo 1-chome.However, the bus is strange and comes in the size of a love wagon.Apparently the end point is deep in the mountains, so maybe it's an issue with the bend radius or something. When the bus came at Yonezawa Station, I was about to pass by, thinking it might be the bus to pick me up from the hot springs.Well, it's a hotel, but there is no public bath. The bathtub in the room is small and I'm impressed by the designer's skill. There are no inconveniences such as a pot, refrigerator, hair dryer, toothbrush, etc.The tough part is that there doesn't seem to be any beer in the vending machines. This is not acceptable, so please do your best to respond.I was able to visit before check-in and ask them to store my luggage, which made it very convenient for me to go sightseeing until check-in.The microwave is in the lobby...or something like that.In the lobby, you can drink freshly ground coffee with a darter (I personally think this service is a huge plus).Be careful not to press the wrong button as it will overflow. There seems to be a certain amount of entertainment district nearby, so it would be great if you could just go there for a while and get some sleep. You can eat breakfast for 500 yen. It's a bit of a walk to a convenience store, and there's no Matsuya, so it might be a good idea to finish your breakfast here. However, it might be a battle for side dishes.I went before 7 o'clock, so everything was plentiful.Meals are served in the lobby...or rather, is it the lobby or the cafeteria? There was a trouser press in what looked like an elevator hall, and even though it couldn't be placed in each room, I could feel the hotel's determination to make the rooms a little more comfortable. For some reason, the light switch had a shiny gold pin similar to Dubai's specifications, and I wondered what it was like.Feel like a celebrity with just a switch?

I used it for a mountain climbing expedition. On the day of the rush, I found a price of 7,868 yen for two people in a double bed including breakfast from Rurubu in the price comparison section on Google Maps. Moreover, parking is free (limited number of spaces). Breakfast doesn't have a lot of variety and the white rice looks like it's been around for a while, but it's enough for this price. Although the room is old, there is a mini-fridge and a toilet seat with a hot water bidet. Please note that it does not lock automatically. The free coffee in front of the front desk is delicious.

Is there something dark about Yonezawa as a whole, and are there few street lights? There is an AEON nearby by car, so the location is good, but I wonder if the AEON is also closed? The hotel staff were polite and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable.
