I visited in August 2020. I had to change the date many times due to circumstances, but they agreed to my consultation. The building...it was a quaint building. Shuhei Fujisawa's calligraphy was on display and I looked at it with great interest. It's clean and comfortable. My child was fixated on the koi fish in the pond in the garden.Facilities: As reported at the beginning, there is no refrigerator or Wi-Fi in the room. Cold water and tea were always available, and there was an air conditioner and a TV, so I was OK. Even without Wi-Fi, I think it was actually a good thing because we could all watch TV and play cards together. When my husband asked for a beer on the extension line, a bottled beer and salted fish were brought to him. I was nervous about how much it would cost, but it turned out to be cheaper than I expected, and my husband was impressed. The food...it was amazing. The sea food was delicious. You can feel the passion and attention to detail of the person who cooks the food. I'm impressed that you can get such a wonderful meal for that price.Service...It is said that it is run by a family. I brought my noisy children with me, but they treated me very kindly. The children seemed to feel the heart-warming hospitality, and even though we don't do that at home, the children went to Sakamotoya to buy shoes.I'm really glad that I was able to stay at such a nice accommodation during my family trip. My only regret is that even though I heard that the stars in the night sky were beautiful, I completely forgot about them. I would like to visit you again sometime. Thank you very much for your help.

The best Ryokan(Japanese traditional hotel) in Shonai area in Yamagata. If you want to enjoy authentic Shonai traditional food, this is the best place to go. It is a family run business*No Wi-Fi / No credit card: cash only/ No hot springThis is an inn where you can fully enjoy Shonai cuisine. I would like to recommend it to those who want to enjoy authentic local cuisine. A wonderful couple and all the staff will take care of you.On this day, we also had cod soup made from fresh cod caught in Shonai. The sweetness of the ankake, which also contains lily roots, is just right.I have eaten this ankake dish in many places, but this one at Sakamotoya is my favorite. (Autumn is the season?) The flounder is served with a special soy sauce and is very delicious.

I learned about this inn through the magazine ``Jiyujin'' and had passed by the inn several times, but it was an inn I had always wanted to visit. I had a free time, so I invited two friends and we went on a winter trip. [Location] It is a short walk from Mise Station, but due to the sudden onset of cold weather, we apologize for the inconvenience. [Appearance] After studying on the website and YouTube, I felt that it was a little difficult to get into, but why? It was an elegant building with no frills. [Customer service] They really tried their best. They also answered my basic questions with great care. [Meal] Both myself and the players enjoyed it. All I could say was that it was delicious. I was filled with gratitude for the heartfelt food. [Revisit] I would like to visit again in a different season. [Recommended] Recommended for those who want to get closer to the essence of authentic, high-quality Japanese cuisine.

I used it for swimming at the beach. This is a long-established inn with a warm and humane feel, and everyone at the inn is very considerate. It feels like coming back home.Since I was staying without meals, I wasn't able to taste the food, but in the evening after checking in, I went to the sea to set off fireworks, and when I came back, there were rice balls, pickles, and fruit in my room for a late night snack. did. I'm impressed! We don't have Wi-Fi or refrigerators in the rooms like modern inns, but we offer hostility that goes beyond that.I would definitely like to come again with a meal included.

I used it on a solo trip last December. I couldn't forget enjoying the local Shonai cuisine in winter, so my husband and I visited here this time to eat rock oysters. I'll never forget how delicious the Japanese sake was, as I savored other seasonal ingredients such as red sea bream, Japanese rockfish, and thin-mouthed flounder caught from the Sea of Japan.

The dishes prepared by the husband of Shonaihama Culture Mission Meister can be said to be representative of Tsuruoka's local cuisine. The staff's smiling faces and hospitality were also commendable. It looks like I can order food to eat at home this time, so I'll ask.

I've been here many times, and each time I'm told how delicious the seasonal fish is. This is a simple and sturdy fish dish for both dinner and breakfast.
