I think this is one of the few inns where you can be very satisfied with the customer service, cleanliness of the building, food, baths, etc. whenever you go there.

My wife and I went on a honeymoon. I had a very relaxing time in the private room. The bath in the room, the hot spring source, and the open-air bath were all very pleasant. The room was spacious, clean, and felt calm. The inside of the inn had a nice antique feel.Dinner was a multi-course meal made with local ingredients, and everything was delicious. I was also able to enjoy Yonezawa beef. The customer service was good and I would like to use them again.

My wife, who thought it was a hot spring in the mountains, was surprised to find it in town. When I arrived, there was no reception, but I was given a welcome drink, guided to my room, and had a great relaxing atmosphere. The bath was hot, so I had to add water and adjust the bath, but it was good. The food was a good amount and delicious. I had a relaxing time.

Every year, I visit Nanyo in June to enjoy the cherries and stay at Akayu and Kaminoyama Onsen. This is my first time staying at Matsushimakan for one night.I arrived with high expectations after reading the highly rated reviews, but it was a more relaxing inn that exceeded my expectations.Japanese-style retro ornaments and accessories are displayed everywhere from the entrance to the hallways to the waiting area, making it a very calming setting that gives you a sense of something out of the ordinary. The hot springs that flow directly from the source are non-irritating and will leave your skin smooth. My husband liked the open-air bath and took it many times. The source temperature of the three private baths and the hot spring in the room is quite high, so I added water myself before entering, although it was a waste. At first, Mr. Nakai gave us a detailed explanation about this. The food was very delicious.Shabu-shabu is marbled meat with lots of vegetables, mushrooms, and tofu. When I made the reservation that my daughter doesn't like spicy food, I was secretly impressed that on the day of the reservation they changed the menu to include something that didn't have spicy food. The room with a dining room was very convenient, and I was very happy with the various thoughtful touches such as the bamboo shoot rice and dessert that I didn't finish being delivered to my room.Even a souvenir when you check out!I was disappointed to see him off, but I promised my husband that we would definitely come back again.I can't wait until next year, so I'd like to visit you again in the fall.
