A ryokan full of humanity that is hard to find these days.I think this inn has two different opinions: those who like the oldness and those who think old = dirty.

I wanted to go after seeing it on YouTube, so I went there when I had a chance. After being soothed by the kind and considerate words of the landlady, and by the spacious hot springs I had longed for, I took a short break to soothe my taste buds with fresh seafood dishes.I felt like I had traveled back in time, and the loneliness of traveling alone was taken away, and the delicious seafood and shellfish dishes, alcohol, and courteous customer service from the employees made me feel glad I came.I will go again.

I used it for my overnight stay. I'm very satisfied with the hot springs, service, and food, all of which were more than the price◡̈ The people at the inn were very warm and kind, and I had a comfortable stay.I can't believe it's 13,000 to 14,000 yen per person.I was able to extend my check-out until 3:00 pm, and I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you very much.

Overnight stay on weekdays. I saw it in a travel magazine about 15 years ago and wanted to visit it someday, so I was able to visit it this time. I am grateful that they accept solo travelers. The room is on the second floor, and the open-air bath is also on the second floor, so it's easy to access. I thought the open-air bath was an open-air bath, but it was made of glass, so it was quite humid and warm, so my face sweated more than I expected while I was soaking in the bath. The pool-sized open-air bath is also warmer than I expected, and floating on the provided float is a fun and rare experience of using a float at a hot spring instead of a heated pool. For meals, choose from a small, medium, and large selection of items. I think it had more rock oysters than the small one. The flavor of the fish may be even better around winter.I was expecting fish crackers for tea, but it turned out to be sweets.I can't get much cell phone signal from Docomo or Softbank, but au is perfect. You can use PayPay for local accounting.

I asked if it was possible to take a day trip to the hot springs, but they said they weren't. I would like to use it for an overnight stay next time.

A lodging in the mountains. The facility has the feel of an old, Showa-era inn, so if you go there thinking of a resort, you might think it's a little different. There is Wi-Fi, but there is no cell phone signal. However, the open-air bath is spectacular, the chatty proprietress is kind, the food is delicious, and the price is reasonable for an inn. You can feel calm in nature.I think it's worth going if you don't mind the age of the facility.

It wasn't as far from Tsuruoka city as I expected. (about 30 minutes)The facility is exactly like a Showa-era inn (in both a good and bad sense). The large open-air bath is large, but the temperature is low. I'm sure it won't be 40 degrees Celsius. It can be cold in winter. The large open-air bath has a dome-shaped roof, but it's dirty so it's best not to look up...There are floating rings in the bath. The dinner and breakfast plans had a small number of items, so the true potential of the inn is unknown. I stayed for 1 person on the day before a holiday, and I stayed in a room with a capacity of 5 people for 1 night for just over 10,000 yen, so I guess it's something like this. andIt's not that deep in the mountains, but you may be out of cell phone coverage. I have two cell phones, but one was out of range.Wi-Fi is available (a little weak)

Highly recommended for those who like hot spring water that is lukewarm, wide, and deep.

I guess it's more of a spa than a hot spring inn. The equipment is old and the tatami mats in the room are dirty. The toilet in the room is old and I am very dissatisfied with it. What worries me most is the danger to my life in the event of a disaster. I've been there many times, but I don't stay there because it's scary. If I couldn't get out into the hallway, I'd have to escape through the window, but there's an iron fence, a cliff, and a river running through it, so it's extremely difficult to escape.
