On the second day after leaving our home in Yamagata Prefecture for the first time in four years, Hakami-san had told me to visit Hijiori Onsen, which is also famous for the Hijiori Kibo Bridge. The hot spring town deep in the mountains itself is a secret hot spring. You can say it's a place! Unlike Kusatsu and Ikaho in Gunma, it doesn't have the glamor and liveliness, but it's a quaint and hot place. The inn is Matsuya-san, there is a hand-dug cave bath, and an old wife's house. We both felt claustrophobic and had a hectic bath... Too bad! For dinner, we enjoyed home-cooked meals centered on Yonezawa beef sukiyaki (Is it Shonai rice? It was the best rice). I was able to sleep peacefully! Breakfast is a parade of small plates! I've been to many hot springs and tourist spots, but I don't think I've ever had a breakfast like this! And, best of all, the hostess at the inn was attentive and smiling! It was a fun night, thank you. Hello, I can't say that I will come back as it is 500km (6-7 hours) from my home, but if I have the chance, I will use it again! Finally, I took a commemorative photo at the front door from Oita Prefecture. Good luck to the young lady who came❢

This is my third time staying at Hijiori Onsen. There are many hotels that look good, so I stay there one after the other. So, when I tried to connect to the Wi-Fi at this inn, it was funny because the Wi-Fi at the two previous inns I stayed at was also available. I made sure to use the Wi-Fi at the hotel I was staying at.This room has a toilet and washbasin. I don't mind shared toilets, but since my mother was there this time, it seemed like it was a good idea to use the toilet without any hesitation. The room had all the necessary equipment, and although the person in the next room may have had good manners, I was able to spend a quiet time there. There was also a wide veranda corner, and since my mother has bad legs, it was nice to be able to sit on a chair while drinking tea.I was able to leave my futon in the room from check-in to check-out without any hassle. The amount of food I ate was such that I felt like I was going to burst. I'm not the kind of person who can't leave anything left when eating out, so I finished all my breakfast and dinner, and the Yukiwakamaru rice from Okura Village was so delicious that I ended up refilling it.Even my mother, who is 80 years old and is a big eater, complained that she was hungry, but she finished almost all of the food and ordered a second helping of rice.I want to go back to eat the delicious, fluffy and sweetly cooked rice. There are many side dishes that will make you think you've come to Yamagata, many of which are local. Is it due to water damage from heavy rain? The cave bath was no longer available, but it seems like there was a charge even if you stayed there, so I don't use that kind of thing, so it's not a problem.Although there is only one indoor bath for men and women, it is much larger than I expected, and depending on the timing, I was able to take a bath by myself.Actually, one of the fun things about Hijiori Onsen is to go to the outside hot spring facilities (3 locations), so this time I couldn't go because I had some business to do and check-in was late so I was only staying for one night, but I can have it at the inn I'm staying at. I wanted to get a discounted ticket and go to the public baths, so I'm going to Hijiori Onsen again. The souvenir shops and morning markets are quaint and fun, and I think the next generation of young people are coming up with ideas, such as stylish flyers, Hijiori lights at night, and flying lanterns. Every time I go there, I feel like everyone in the hot spring town is working together to protect Hijiori Onsen, and even though it's far away and takes a long time to get there from Kanto, I want to continue supporting them while I'm still healthy. Masu.I'm sure there will be some troubles like water damage and power outages, but I hope you do your best!

Although it was for my own convenience, when I contacted them to cancel, I was disappointed by the poor response over the phone.I was thinking of using it again in the future, but that's not the case!

I arrived late at the hotel, but when I arrived, the staff warmly welcomed me. The hot spring was hot, but I was able to adjust the temperature by adding water. The rice was plentiful and very delicious. I am satisfied that I was able to spend a relaxing time in a calm inn. On the way back, the landlady will take lots of commemorative photos in front of the inn.

sorry. I didn't know that the space next to Miuraya Ryokan was Matsuya's parking lot, so I mistakenly parked there. Because there were no markings.I went to Miura-ya for a day trip to the bathhouse, warmed my mind and body, and was about to head home when the owner of Matsuya's car crashed. Since I was visiting from far away and wasn't familiar with geography, I apologized for being so humble and asked them to move my car. However, he seemed very angry and scolded me furiously from the beginning, saying, ``I'm causing trouble.'' It's true that it was my fault for stopping the car without realizing it, but I was threatened for about the same amount of time as I was taking a bath, and was told that my car would never move, leaving me at a loss. I understand that you are very angry, but I wonder if the owner of the customer business would be so foul-mouthed and abuse the hot spring guests. I visited Hijiori Onsen with the intention of supporting Hijiori Onsen, but I was actually drawn to Matsuya's cave bath and thought it might be a good idea to stay there next time, but this was a shocking experience. It was my fault for misunderstanding it, and I don't know how much it hurt Matsuya's profits (as my husband said many times), but I thought about the whole of Hijiori Onsen and decided to coexist and prosper. Why not welcome visitors in spirit? Even after struggling in the parking lot for 30 minutes in the sleet, I couldn't get my car out. However, the water still did not cool down. The hot water at Hijiori Onsen is definitely good. I think that if you have genuine hospitality, you will definitely have more customers. What do you think? Even though I didn't know, I'm really sorry.I would also like to thank the owner of Miura-ya Ryokan, who kept his head bowed over and over again as he guided me out of the car in the sleet. Despite my terrible experience, I did not dislike Hijiori Onsen, and in fact, I was able to return home with a warm feeling.

The parking lots are several far away, so if you contact us before you get off the bridge, they will carefully guide you.Once you get to the hot spring town, it's narrow and buses pass by, so be careful.Although the room is simple, you can enjoy the souvenir shop, morning market, and the entire hot spring town, so you can spend a very fulfilling time. There is a regular bath, but the cave bath can also be reserved for 30 minutes, which is a unique charm. The townscape is charming and the people are friendly, so once you visit, it will be an unforgettable memory.

I went to Hijiori Onsen for the first time. It's about an hour by bus from Shinjo Station, and it feels like you've climbed high into the mountains. The hot spring town is not large, but there are several souvenir shops, and they have a selection of goods comparable to a convenience store, so it is convenient. I think Kaneyama Shoten in front of the old post office was good.I stayed on the 4th floor of Matsuya, and all I could see outside the window was the roof of the inn across the street.Curious about the 1,200-year-old hot springs, we started by visiting the large bath, or rather, the medium bath that can accommodate about 4 people. The water flows directly from the source, and the water temperature is around 43 degrees Celsius. It felt so good that I went in many times during my stay. The cave bath is a treat. As I bent down and walked through the cave, I found a cave bath that could accommodate about three people. The water was a little lukewarm, so I took my time in the bath during the reserved time. The best part was the volume of dinner.Everything was delicious so I finished it all, but I ate too much. It's better to come without lunch (lol)The building feels old, but the toilet and sink were renovated and clean. I was very satisfied that I was able to enjoy the extraordinary and hot spring-like hot springs. I want to come again.

Kin-chan was reporting on the baths on TV, so I went to visit.I saw it on TV.Can I take a cave bath? When I asked about it, the owner of the inn told me that it was only for overnight guests, and I had come from far away, but he said no one was coming in right now, so I said thank you, and took a bath. So far, everything was fine. After about 15 minutes, I asked, "How long will it last?" It's in! Please come out quickly! I don't like to take long baths, so I didn't really understand why she yelled at me, so I quickly got dressed and came out, only to find that the next person was waiting for me! I was scolded again, and even though I had paid the asking price to take a bath, I left thinking there was no way I could say that.Hijiori Onsen is where my grandparents and grandparents took me to visit Hijiori Onsen when I was a child, and it is a hot spring resort that retains a lot of the charm of the countryside. I remember this, but it seems that this owner has no concept of customer business.
