On my way home from Iwate in the cold ⛄ of December, I stayed overnight at a Japanese inn, where I enjoyed the hot springs and the delicious Yamagata beef. I've been to Yamagata Prefecture for about 20 years, but this is my first time staying in Sagae.I wonder if I'll go back later? I think so. I talked to a few people and went to stay the night, and it was great. I was very happy with that.

Common source, sodium chloride, hydrogen carbonate spring with source temperature 48.9℃ and pH 7.5. The water is light brown. Naturally flowing from the source. No heating or adding water. Indoor bath for men and women 1. Bathing hours are from 15:00 to 24:00 and from 5:00 to 8:00.

I visited here for a day trip. Indoor bath only. The facilities and bathroom are clean. The water is 100% natural hot spring without circulation. The water is clear brown with a wooden smell. The water is fresh.

It was my first time staying at Yamagata Wari. 40% off 9,830 yen and includes 1 coupon. 1 night breakfast only. It's a Japanese-style inn, so the food was delicious, and the hostess and waitstaff were kind. The temperature of the bath was just right, not too hot or lukewarm, and the atmosphere was nice. Bathing hours are from 12:00 at night and from 5:00 to 8:00 in the morning. Although it was Saturday, it was almost reserved. I was warmed by the small consideration, such as giving me throat candy when I checked out. On the way home, I was able to buy some souvenirs at Cherryland using the coupon, which made me very happy. Most Sagae parking lots are free for up to 3 hours.

I was generally satisfied with the food, but I thought I would have enjoyed the meal more if there was a menu on the table.Also, the path from the guest room to the bathroom was dark at night. There are a number of lights at your feet, so you won't have any trouble walking, but it might be a little scary for people who don't like dark places.

The exterior looks nice and shows its age.It feels like an old-fashioned inn.The rooms were well maintained and clean. The bedding (pillows) had a strong smell of someone else's pillows, so that's the only negative.The bath was very smooth and the temperature was very nice. I could only enjoy the view from the restaurant. Each dish is delicious and very satisfying.

The facility as a whole is old.It seems to be used for local banquets.I had dinner outside with friends, so I only had breakfast, but the amount of white rice was small and I didn't get any refills.I guess it's for families.

Anyway, the food is delicious. The atmosphere and taste match and make you realize that you are traveling. I think it's a victory for the direction that the interior and the atmosphere are in harmony and it doesn't feel out of place.
