I stayed in a Western-style room on the second floor for about a month.In my mind, this is now my parents' home on Miyakojima.Baths and toilets are shared. It was very clean and I never felt uncomfortable even once. The bathroom has a bathtub, so it's great for people who don't want just a shower.The room is equipped with a TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, sofa, bed, table, and Wi-Fi.There is a microwave, toaster oven, and kettle in the common space, so even though I stayed there for a month, I didn't feel inconvenienced. Shopping malls and convenience stores are also within walking distance. They also lend bicycles for free.Furthermore, there is a kitchenette, so you can cook your own meals. You can use the washing machine for 100 yen a time, and the detergent is free.The mother of the hostel was a very kind person and took care of me in many ways. They often brought me drinks, snacks, cakes, bread, sweets, freshly brewed food, etc., and I felt like I was coming home.However, the structure is a renovated private house, so the soundproofing is pretty good. You can hear other guests' voices, as well as the sound of the bath and flushing the toilet. At night, you can hear the sounds of insects and geckos. I don't think it's suitable for people who are concerned about such things.Please note that reservations cannot be canceled. Although it is clearly stated, some people may be confused. Therefore, I do not recommend making reservations with the idea that you want to find a place to stay for the time being.It's close to famous beaches and downtown areas, so I think it's the best inn to use as your base on Miyakojima.
