This is a real-deal traditional Japanese guesthouse. In the right season, they offer fishing activities with their own boat.We rode our motorcycles there, parked right outside the guesthouse no problem, likewise for people travelling on cars.We don't speak Japanese but the hosts were very patient on the communication.Dinner, breakfast all are perfect, we had our own dining room for the dinner which was really luxurious to us. Both meals were prepared using local seafood, delicately prepared and served. As in all traditional Japanese guesthouses, bathing room was shared but the host arranged the time so that each of the room would have its own slot for the bath time. There is a big hot water tub, the hosts would prepare hot water for you according to your bath time - that was very thoughtful. The guesthouse is next to the sea inside a small village, easy to find on GPS though. We totally like it.Cash only.

During the 10-day Golden Week holiday, my family of four, with a 1-year-old and a 3rd grader, stayed here for two consecutive nights. The house itself is an old-fashioned house that blends in with the area, but the inside was kept clean, so I didn't have to worry about little one being there. They prepared fresh sashimi, salt-grilled horse mackerel, and a children's lunch for the children, which made us very satisfied. It was a long trip, so I had a lot of laundry to do, so I asked the landlady, who kindly lent me the washing machine and even hung it out to dry. I have never stayed at such a kind inn.

Although it cannot be called a luxurious inn, the food and location are excellent. I've been here several times from Tokyo, and the food here is as delicious as any other restaurant in Tokyo. Not only are the ingredients fresh, but the owner used to go to Osaka to train when he was young. The beach, which is a 1-minute walk from the inn, offers a spectacular view of Amakusa, and you'll never get tired of taking a walk. The people at the inn were very kind and I would like to visit them again if I have a chance.
