One night and two meals included. The room seemed to be about the same age as the building, but it was well-maintained and very spacious.Dinner was delicious and there was more than I could finish. The price is also reasonable.Personally, I have repeats.

It has an atmosphere that is somewhere between a Japanese inn and a guesthouse with a Showa era feel. I thought it would be a problem depending on the behavior of my neighbors, as I could tell what program was on by the sound of the TV in the next room, but luckily I was able to sleep peacefully. The price of accommodation is quite reasonable, so I think the cost performance is quite good.

(note1: Receptionist can only converse in Japanese)(note2: nearest station is Misumi, about 50km away - there's a highway bus that can take visitors to Amakusa center; in my case, I rode my bicycle all the way to Amakusa.)Stayed here on August 11 (Mountain Day).Tried calling other lodgings listed in the Amakusa Tourist Association (天草宝島観光協会) but some of them were already full due to the holiday. One night is a bit pricey, at 8k yen. But it includes a large assorted dinner and a hefty breakfast. I'd probably end up spending as much if I opted to dine at izakayas (unless I go cheap with convenience store goodies).Dinner is comprised of local food, I think the combination changes depending on the season or available haul.In my case, they served big crab (shells already cracked for easy consumption), fried fish with lemon, tuna sashimi, clams, sand-skinned fish sashimi, fried small fish with matcha-salt dip at the side, fried chicken slices with ceasar salad, sumptuous miso soup and steaming white rice. Best of all, you can get second helpings for both rice and soup.Breakfast is a bit simpler but still packs a punch.Fried small fish, nattou, sunny side up egg+salad, wieners, and miso soup with several clams,Accommodation:one big tatami room with its own restroom and shower, drying closet, TV, air-conditioning, bottled water, toiletries, face and body towels.Washing machine is free to use with liquid detergent but no drier so you have to hang and dry.But best of all is the free ice cube freezer in the hallway - perfect for the hot, humid summer night.Despite the Holiday, I got the entire place all to myself.A bit pricey but the level of service, rooms and food is really good...nice way to reward my 3rd day of cycling around Beppu, Mt. Aso and Amakusa.

It is a very quiet inn with a unit bath. You can get to a place where you can see the sea in less than 30 minutes on foot.

It was my second time staying here for my mother's birthday. This time, my parents, son, and I used it.The food is simply luxurious and delicious. My son, who was staying here for the first time, said that he had been to many places for sports tournaments, but he had never been to a place where the food was so filling and delicious.I was very impressed with the care of the host. This is an inn that I would like to visit again and again.I recommend it to everyone ^ ^

I didn't have high expectations because the room rate was cheap, but I was completely disappointed. At that price, Ichizukuri, grilled fish, tempura...I was very satisfied.
