Yesterday, I stayed at a hot spring inn in Amakusa, Kumamoto. I would like to give the highest rating for the hotel's service and facilities. The beautiful view from the room and the facilities were far superior to other top-class hotels around the world! Also, what I would like to highlight about the food at the restaurant is that the chef used local ingredients and new rice to bring out the deliciousness of the ingredients. The beauty of the food was evident in the presentation and tableware selection, and the non-alcoholic drink pairings were also very nice.Kudos to you for creating the best ryokan experience ever for us!I strongly hope to stay at this hotel again in the near future!

Style.modern JapaneseSettingA discreet contemporary hotel, off the beaten path on Hiai Island in Amakusa. A scenic hour and half drive from Kumamoto airport or 2.5 hr from Fukuoka airport. I was in 925 square feet harbor suite “Kou” facing the marina, an exquisitely designed light filled room, impeccably clean. Room came with a generous supply of spa toiletries, plush slippers, a complimentary mini bar included champagne and proper stemwear. The highlight was soaking under an almost full moon in the copper colored hotspring bath drawn from the source — the sibling volcanic island of Takamoku (aka Amakusa Fuji)@ the hotel.Impeccable & warm service from everyone, especially by Mayumi-san.
