I don't like hot springs with too many people, so I was looking for a hidden hot spring and found this hot spring. I went there because the reviews were good, and the hot water was the best. The coffee-colored water feels slimy and warms you up!The building is old, but just looking at the hot spring water, it looked great and made me want to go again.It was good timing and I was able to enter by myself.

This is a repeat visit to Matsubara Onsen in Chitose.Too good hot water. I think this is one of the best hot springs in Hokkaido! There are two types of sources, weak salt spring and baking soda spring, both of which are black!Baking soda springs are particularly slimy, dark in color, and extremely comfortable. The weak salt springs are so soft that you can use them endlessly🥰It doesn't matter that there is no open-air bath, the hot water is nice. It costs 600 yen and they only have soap.

I went nervously because there were many reviews that said the hot water was good, and I wanted to go quickly, but also because I was worried that I might be treated badly at the reception.I went there while looking at the aerial photos on Google Maps, and I definitely didn't get lost. Are you okay.Take off your shoes and there is disinfectant to the left of the reception window. If you don't do that, you'll get scolded lol. I'll give you the money and ask, "Is this your first time?" Oh, this is the rumor!pounding pounding"The bathroom is at the end. Please put your valuables in the locker there. Please wash your body before entering. When you go up, wipe your body before entering the changing room."Yes(* 'ᵕ' )☆! I said, putting my stuff in the locker and heading to the bathroom lolIt was totally fine lol everyone please go without any excitement lolThere are no lockers with keys in the changing room. There is a basket with a lid, so there is a high possibility that it will be opened because you cannot see what is inside.The bathroom was lukewarm for one person, and the salt spring was salty. Atsuyu for two people, baking soda spring, is this a circulation? The tepid bath seems to be a continuous stream, but it is connected to the women's bath, and the men's bath does not overflow. The quality of the spring water is wonderful.It was like Kinsen at Arima Onsen.It's also nice to be able to drink hot spring water.The bathtub is fleeting and narrow.Hair dryer is available for a fee.

Matsubara OnsenHighly rated on Google MapsI decided to go.You enter along the river from the road, but it's a gravel road.Bikers should be careful.There is a lot of parking space.It has a very Showa feel to it.This is a retro hot spring.The receptionist also gave very kind explanations.It was easy to understand.Photography was prohibited inside the building.I was only able to take pictures of the exterior.The quality of the spring isHigh-temperature baking soda spring that makes your skin black and smoothA mildly salty spring with a gentle feel and low temperature.There were two types of bathtubs.I was even able to drink it!There are only 5 washing areas.The bathtub is also smallI think it's okay to use it if you have good manners and can wait your turn.It was also similar to Oberiberi Onsen in Obihiro, but I felt that the quality of the hot springs here was much better.I recommend everyone who likes hot springs to go there.By the way, this is just my personal opinion.take away the bad things
