I used it on a 1 night 2 day trip to Oita with my grandmother. My grandmother prefers beds rather than futons, so she booked a room called ``Waremoko''.A nightly rate for two adults including dinner and breakfast is approximately 38,000 yen. I ordered beer, highball, etc. for dinner, so the total cost was around 40,000 yen.The signboard cat was also cute! !There are four private baths, and you can use them without making a reservation. You could also use the hot spring water. There was an event that day, so I was told about it and attended, and my grandmother really enjoyed it too.The location is in a hot spring town where other accommodation facilities are gathered, so there are a lot of people. Also, the roads are narrow, so if you have a large car, you may find it a little inconvenient.Dinner was very delicious and the quantity was quite large so I was very satisfied! It was very helpful for me to call my room as soon as possible. This is a recommended inn.

This is an inn in Yutsubo and Sujiyu hot springs in Oita Kokonoe Town.A cat named Kabosu-san welcomed us. This inn's cat changes its location depending on the time, and it's like, Oh! It was a fun moment to be surprised. It was my first time to visit Sujiyu Onsen, but when it first opened...More than 1000 years ago. The townscape also has a historical feel, and it seems that it was once hit by a large fire.As expected, the quality of the spring water is excellent. It is a hot, colorless and transparent hot spring with a slightly salty taste. Shinobu Hana said that the source temperature was over 70 degrees, so it was still hot. I think they are adding water to adjust the temperature. The atmosphere is more like a spa than a ryokan, so I think it's a must-see for hot spring lovers. The hot springs in Kokonoe and Aso each have quite different quality. This Sujiyu Onsen is a wonderful hot spring area with a deep history. The food was delicious, and the grilled food on the rock salt plate was unusual and delicious.Cats will not come up to your room, but they are usually seen around meals and in the lobby, so it is best to avoid them if you have allergies. The room is a normal inn. Although it doesn't have a luxurious feel, it has an atmosphere where you can spend your time comfortably. The host and landlady were also warm people without a business feel. All baths are reserved for private use. In addition, if you stay overnight, you can go to the nearby utase-yu, open-air bath, and Yakushi-yu for free. There will be a communal bath.It was truly a spa. This inn is highly recommended for those who like hot springs.

A very stylish and modern room. With a small number of rooms, you can enjoy the hot springs at your leisure in private baths or outside baths. The food was very satisfying and I would like to stay here again.

I came here looking for a summer resort. As expected, it's cool and comfortable. The parking lot is difficult to find, but you can get directions so it's not a problem. The signboard cat was very friendly, and when I brought my hand close to the tip of his nose to get him to smell it, he just rubbed his head against it, which really touched my heart. Isn't it cool if I do this? The service spirit that they are known for is amazing.Although it is a bit old, the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There were also tea and sweets, which I was grateful for. It's right next to the river, and it's relaxing. The sound of the river seemed to be good for sleeping, and I was able to sleep deeply. The people at the inn were kind and provided detailed explanations of the facilities and meal menu. All baths are private and can be used comfortably, with no reservations, no time limit, and no limit on the number of times. (I'm not a fan of long baths, but I don't mind relaxing in places with time limits, so I was able to enjoy it without worrying about time.)For dinner, we had a kaiseki meal with Bungo beef and local chicken. The rainbow trout sashimi had no smell, and the freshly grilled yamame trout was delicious with the head squeezed out. The taro dumplings are popular because they contain cheese, so it was delicious. Bungo beef and local chicken were grilled on a lava plate and served with yuzu salt, rock salt, and wasabi soy sauce that was introduced to us by the host.We also enjoyed Oita's barley shochu. (I can't believe you can drink one cup of shochu so cheaply...)The cost performance is so good that it's the best. I would love to visit you again.

I think it's great during the hot summer months. Too bad it was raining. There were several baths, and it was nice that they were all reserved for private use.

Sujiyu Onsen, where many inns have closed and is deserted and deserted, is not suitable for people who want elegant and special services, people who want to make noise in large groups, or people with children. At night, there is no other way to have fun other than soaking in the hot springs, so we only recommend it as a base for mountain climbing, or for experienced travelers with a high level of hot spring literacy. This inn is a small inn with only 8 rooms located next to Japan's No. 1 Utaseyu. From what I've heard, it was founded in 1972, and is a family-run business, probably run by the second-generation proprietress. The Oita dialect is blunt and rough-hewn, so I sometimes think it's a bit off-putting when people come from other prefectures, but I wonder if it's because of the characteristics of this area or the people here. It's not blunt or formal like a hotel, and everything is fine. It's loose in a good way. When I talked to them, they talked to me about various things in a friendly manner, and as a traveler like me, I had a great time. There are four baths at the inn, all of which are family baths. When you enter, you put up a sign that says ``In Use'' and lock it from the inside. There are no time limits, advance reservations, or complicated procedures, and the management is loose, which is unique to a small inn.Sujiyu Onsen has three communal baths, and Japan's best ``Utaseyu'' is separated by gender, but ``Iwanyu'' and ``Yakushiyu'' are alternated between men and women depending on the day, and on odd-numbered days, ``Iwanyu'' is the men's bath, and "Yakushiyu" is the women's bath. You will be given a coin at the inn, so you can use the communal bath as many times as you like.Meals will be served in the same building as the front desk, and the rooms you will stay in will be in a separate building from the front desk and restaurant. The meals prepared by the hostess are very satisfying, with modern flavors and tastes that don't seem to be from the countryside. Maybe it's because of the water, but the rice tastes so good. The room we stayed in was in a separate building next to the river, and it was a world filled only with the sounds of the river and the cries of the sculpin frogs. It seems that the predecessor of the signboard cat, Hana-chan, has passed away, and the current signboard cat is Kabosu, who walks around the inn as she pleases. An inn where everything is relaxed in a good way, and where you can interact with others casually. It was the inn I wanted to go to when I felt tired again.

Sujiyu hot spring. Right in front of the Utaseyu. It's a natural source, but the source is hot, so you have to add water. The landlady and the general? A centrally located home-style inn. There is a signboard cat. The hot spring heating in the guest room was good because it didn't dry out. ← First experience. Guests are happy to enjoy the Utaseyu, Yakushiyu, and Open-Air Rock Bath for free. The inn's baths are also available for private use, allowing you to use any of the four types of baths you like. Shampoos differed depending on the private bath, and the provided lotion was also good. The rice was a standard hot spring inn menu (sashimi, river fish, taro manju, and famous grilled meat), but the basic seasoning, freshness, and deliciousness exceeded my expectations. Everyone other than the landlady was a bit sloppy in explaining things and serving the food, but I can laugh about it and forgive it. Cash only. I would like to visit you again.

There is demolition work going on next door so it's noisy. The room was not cleaned at all. There were only three parking spaces, so I had to park in the parking lot of another run-down inn.
