A quiet campsite where you can enjoy natureYamasa Dam Campsite is a quiet place surrounded by nature, where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city. The site was spacious and we had no trouble setting up our tent. The starry sky at night was so beautiful that I had an experience that I couldn't get in the city. However, it is a 30-minute drive to the nearest convenience store, so it is recommended that you prepare food and essentials in advance.

It's a spacious, sunny area surrounded by trees, and there's also an area where cars can drive. The price is an exceptional 200 yen. Fully equipped with toilets, washing areas and facilities. From June of this year, the fee has been changed to 300 yen.

For the first time in a year, friends from the Chugoku-Shikoku, Kansai, and Kyushu-Tokai regions gathered together for a camping trip. The number was less than half of last year, perhaps because the coronavirus pandemic had passed and the boom had died down.Last year's usage fee was 200 yen per person, but it has increased by 100 yen to 300 yen, but it is still cheap.I am thankful that the toilet has been changed from a Japanese style to a Western style. However, I wish the shower had been renovated anyway, but I had a good time using it.It's my number one use this year, and I'll be visiting again next year.

This was my first time using this campsite and I was surprised at how nice it was. First of all, the price was low, and the firewood was cheap too. I can't really complain about the cost performance, and the campsite is spacious enough that I can't really complain about it. I have time. This is a campsite that I want to go to.

There are three main sites: upper, middle, and lower. It seems that it is possible to set up a tent another step up on the south side of the upper site. Part of the upper site is a grand golf course, but it can be used as an expanded site when there are no plans to use grand golf in the near future. However, cars are not allowed. In addition, it is necessary to take all possible precautions when preparing a bonfire, such as placing a bonfire sheet firmly on the ground.Personally, I used to frequently use the lower site, but since the restroom is only on the middle level, and the only place that is clean is the upper level, at some point I started using the upper level only. It also seems to be very crowded on weekends and holidays. Some people come as early as 7 a.m. on Saturday mornings to set up tents and reserve space. If you try to come in on a Saturday evening, you may have trouble finding a place.Addendum (2022/10)Many campers visit on Saturdays and Sundays, but some of them can be seen to have bad manners.・Ash dumping site (upper site)There are drums available, but some people dig in the ground next to the drum and instead of throwing them away, they can put them directly into the drum. Moreover, unburned charcoal and unburned firewood are still being thrown away. I think this hole is probably for the administrator to throw away completely extinguished charcoal, but I would like them to at least throw away completely extinguished (extinguished) charcoal. It would be a disaster if there was a fire. The disposal area is inside the drum, so please throw it there first.・Sink (upper site)There are two sinks, but it seems that some people just flush vegetable scraps and leftovers down the drain, and the drain pipes sometimes get clogged and the water doesn't drain completely. You may be doing the same thing with your sink at home, but since it is a shared sink, I would like you to think about the people who will be using it afterward.Let's all the campers protect this so that we don't cause any inconvenience to the administrators who provide this wonderful camping environment at a low price, and so that it can be used for a long time to come!Postscript (2023/6)The road going up to the top site on the south side of the upper site was paved. Of the two sites, only the west passageway was the only one to climb up the site, but in the past there were situations where you could only climb it with a 4WD vehicle, but now it seems like you can easily drive up to the site.Postscript (2024/3)The restroom on the middle site has been renewed! The exterior has been redecorated, and the private rooms are now washlets! !I'll attach the image.Addendum (2024/6)From June 1, 2024, the usage fee will increase from 200 yen/person to 300 yen/person.Roll sales are also 500 yen/bundle → 600 yen/bundleI think the usage fee is 300 yen, which is cheap.I'll attach the image.
