Me and my family had a great time at this place. The location is a little bit inconvenient especially if you do not have a car. However, everything else was perfect. The owner is extremely kind and welcoming, the house is really well maintained and the other guests seemed really happy with the place too. Overall 10/10 experience

Great guesthouse will come again. The owner was very accommodating and gave me a lift to Udo Shrine and Obi Castle ruin. The location is 30 minutes walk to Aoshima Shrine and near to several restaurants and a convenience store. The house itself was clean and spacious.

Bathroom and toilet are shared places. Remember the house in Courage the Dog, that's the view.Be careful about terms and conditions if you're foreigners, it's your average miscommunication situation in Japan since the property owner is native Japanese, whatever they said about English support on the booking website is pure nonsense. Personally, I emailed more than 2 times to ask about a condition I wasn't sure about regarding having other people stay together with me in Japanese, all the reply I got back assure my previous assumption was correct, then on the day of check-in the owner announce that I misunderstood the situation and ask for more money if I want my friends to be able to stay together with me and keep pushing for us to pay more while we trying to work out the problem. The customer service is just ---- yk, they will just keep repeating the same explanation and yes you already know the so called attitude towards gai-ppl of the jp gramps, pure native style experience for you there.No I did not get my rf back, but to be fair my stupidity led me into this so can't really complain, quite a bitter price for a lesson still.Let the bs I got myself into be the call to your second thought

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE! I booked for 1 person foe 2 nights, pais 9300. Because i booked a family room, I asked if 2 of my other friends could stay through 6 back-and-forth emails, and each time they confirmed it's ok with no extra fee required. When we arrived, thia ols guy was watching TV and couldn't even hear the doorbell ringing 3+ times. When he finally came out he was surprised to see 3 people and we had to spend 15 mins just to show our booking and emails on HIS laptop. afterwards, when we came in the room he said that the 2 girls has to pay extra (3 times the original price). Despite him already saying that it's not needed in the emails beforehand. When we show him the emails HE REPLIED TO again he just kept repeating the same two sentences that we needed to pay extra. Keep in mind the whole time we were discussing in Japanese. It's not that he didn't understand that, he just wants more money. We were so done with this bullshit and ended up booking a new, reasonable hotel. We asked that we get the refund because Booking.com said that we can get full refund and no cancellation fee. but he still said that he cannot give it because the 2 other guests hasn't paid. We didn't even ask for refund for 3 people, just one!! How dare he ask for cancellation fee for 2 people he didn't even know was coming 30 mins ago. When we say that we are leaving even without refund, he still kept saying that we still needed to pay extra fee. We finally left and told him to keep the measly 9300. My only regret is not calling the police on him.Never book this inn! I booked for 2 nights for 9300 pesos for 1 person. I had booked a family room, so after 6 emails I asked if two other friends could stay, and each time they confirmed it was OK without any extra charge. When we arrived, this guy was watching TV and couldn't hear the doorbell ringing at least 3 times. Even though he emailed me in advance and said there was no additional charge. When I showed him the email he replied to again, he just repeated the same two sentences about needing to pay an additional fee. Please remember that we were speaking in Japanese the entire time. It's not that he doesn't understand it, he just wants more money. We got fed up with this ridiculous treatment and ended up booking a new budget hotel. Booking.com said they could give me a full refund with no cancellation fee, so I asked for a refund. But he said he couldn't give me a refund because the other two guests hadn't paid. We didn't ask for a refund for 3 people, we only asked for a refund for 1 person!! How brazen of you to ask for a cancellation fee for 2 people you didn't even know were coming 30 minutes early! Probably. Even though I said I would leave without a refund, he kept saying he needed extra money. We finally left the place and left with him giving us only 9300 rupees. My only regret is not reporting him to the police.

What a beautiful place! It is so clean and stylish that it feels like a Ryokan, but the one where you feel at home! We loved grilling in the garden with our two small children! Definitely recommend!

Great place! The owner and staff are super friendly and inviting. Sato gave us a ride down the coast highway to see Udo Jingu shrine, to a beautiful spot to see the sunrise the next day, and dropped us off at the train station on our last day. A fun place to meet other guests from around the world. Amazing beaches and sights within easy walking distance.

The Inn is more like a homestay and gives a comfortable home feeling. Japanese home constructed mainly of wood, has 3 rooms available upstairs. Each room can squeeze a maximum of 3 person. Rooms are clean and shared toilet is clean. If arriving by train, take the local train from Mayazaki and alight at Oryuzako. Oryuzako station is an open station and quiet, don't be surprised if you're the only one alighting. From Oryuzako, walk about 10mins using Google map and you will reach this inn. Not difficult but a bit tiring when dragging your luggage along. Owner is kind to give us a short trip to Udo Shrine on the second day and a lift to the train station when we leave. Good choice if you prefer a few days stay in a quiet neighbourhood.

The owner was very kind and kind! They took me to various places by car and I was able to spend some relaxing time there. Thank you so much ☺️

Was such a pretty location while the weather was very humid easy to get to beach and lots of beautiful views. Service was the best we have ever had with the owner engaging with us and being friendly while taking us fishing and out to the nearby shrines also did stargazing and saw Milky Way really cool place. Rooms where clean with good aircon and altogether the Best we have stayed in since we have been in japan
