This inn is located within a 10-minute walk from Kisugu Station, just past the entertainment district, and has a deep history dating back to the Meiji era.It is said that Tetsuro Tanba and Ken Ogata, who starred in the movie ``Suna no Utsu'' half a century ago, were also staying at the hotel at the time of filming. This time, we spent the night in the annex (also built in the Taisho era) across from the main building, which has a splendid garden in the back where the main building is located. The formal structure of the Meiji and Taisho eras has been maintained to this day, giving it a tasteful atmosphere.Due to the number of people on the day, we only had breakfast, but it was also delicious. (I especially liked the sea cucumber miso soup)The only request I have is that the family bathroom is old and has deteriorated over time, so I would like it to be renovated. The price was better than I expected, and I was very satisfied with my stay.

I used to use it regularly before the coronavirus, such as for women's New Year's parties, but it's been a while since then. The dishes were absolutely the same as before, beautiful to the eye and satisfying to the palate. The best part was the white rice, pickled vegetables, and omitsuke, which were really delicious. As soon as I opened the lid of the white rice, it smelled so good that even the family sitting across from me could smell the freshly cooked rice. Not only is it fragrant, but each grain of rice stands firm and you can savor the sweetness that only white rice can provide. The Omitsuke was also rich in dashi stock and had a taste that reminded me of my childhood. The final dessert was melon, the king of seasonal fruits, vanilla ice cream, and cute marshmallows, and I was able to enjoy the meal until the end.*By the way, the menu is・Appetizers (mozuku vinegar, monaka naka potato salad, saikyo-yaki cod, namafu, etc.)・Sashimi (flying fish, grilled salmon, etc.)・Grilled sesame tofu・Pumpkin bun served with yuba・Pork Shabu Salad (I ended up eating a little bit in the photo🙇🙇🙇)・White rice, pickled vegetables (shibazuke, bettarazuke, garlic miso pickle), omitsuke (okra and namafu)・Melon and vanilla ice cream, fresh cream and marshmallow topping

A long-established inn on an old street. The food seems to be delicious, but I couldn't eat it.Although the facility is old, they have worked hard to maintain it, but I didn't really feel its value, and it felt disappointing.I think I could get a little more out of the unit price if I just cleaned up the bathroom area, so I want them to do more! However, in Yunnan, everyone who passes by greets you. Are there any other towns like this? wonderful!I want to go again. really great town

I stayed here on the recommendation of a local. It appears to be an inn where the location staff for the movie ``Sand Vessel'' stayed during filming, and there were autographs from people involved.Although the room doesn't have a lock and the bathroom is old, I'm impressed by how well they take care of such an old building. The atmosphere of the room, the retro radio, etc. is just wonderful. The menu was carefully prepared using local ingredients, and I was happy to be able to enjoy delicious fish in the morning.Of course, the hostess was also kind and polite, which left a good impression on me.

In April 2023, I spent the night here while traveling on the Kisuki Line.Although it is an old inn, it has plenty of facilities such as electrical outlets, Wi-Fi, and a TV, and the bathroom has been renovated to match modern conditions and was very easy to use.I arrived late at night as I was on the last flight from Shinji, but the host was waiting for me outside the front door. In addition, even though we were staying without meals, they not only heated up the bento box we had bought at a convenience store along the way for dinner, but they even served us miso soup to top up our lunch box.

This is a long-established inn that has Tetsuro Tamba's signature on it, as it is said to have been the inn where the staff of the movie Sand Vessel, which was made before I was born, stayed there. Although it's not close to Izumo Taisha Shrine, I think it's a good choice to stay here. I can calm down because there is nothing. The Japanese garden in the annex is beautifully maintained and the view from the window is soothing. There is a first floor and a second floor, each of which is spacious enough. There is also a tea room. The downside is that there are no keys in the room. Also, the bath is like an old-fashioned house bath, so it's impossible to fill up the bathtub and relax. However, I would like to stay at an inn that focuses on just being there. If you are using it in a group or with your family, you can rent it out for private use, so there are other ways to use it.Cherry blossoms are recommended for spring. The main building faces a riverbed that has been selected as one of the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots, so you should be able to admire the cherry blossoms while having breakfast. Super special seats. The breakfast is hearty and uses local ingredients, and if you're a group of 4 or more, you can also try the local specialty, grilled mackerel. A very relaxing inn.

It was August, but by chance our group was the only guest, so we had free use of all the rooms! It was very spacious and I was able to relax comfortably. Since we arrived late and there were no places to eat nearby, the host gave us a ride. The host is a very kind person. What was impressive for breakfast was the miso soup with clams. A lot of fresh clams from Lake Shinji in Shimane Prefecture were used.
