We booked this Ryokan by accident on Trip.com. wanting to hike Mt Oyama we tried many other accommodations but it was hard to book since we did not understand Japanese. It was the best decision we made. Firstly it was 2mins from the bus stop and no steps to get to the accommodation. (There is a flight of steps inside to get to the room) as we realised, lodging closer to the foot of Mt Oyama had many steps to reach and hard especially if you have luggage. It may be an older building but everything was kept so clean and perfect. Maintained well. Very homey and cosy, reflecting the family run business. The booking comes with breakfast and dinner. Surpassed all expectations. We had kaiseki breakfast and dinner for 2 days we stayed there with different menus. The food made with so much care and tasted just perfect. It is a pity we did not speak Japanese because the owner and staff are the kindest and most hospitable people we have met.If you are heading to Isehara and Mt Oyama and want an authentic ryokan experience. This is definitely the place. We love it and will be back

I stayed with my father, sister, and husband. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was a wonderful feast. The hostess' hospitality was wonderful. This is an inn that I would love to stay at again, as they dropped me off at the cable station and provided me with cold drinks in the hot weather. My father, who is 91 years old, was also very happy and enjoyed it to the fullest. Thank you so much♪

A shukubo where Uke who believe in Afuri Shrine stays. There are currently 45 businesses in operation. General guests can also stay here. Houbutei Hisumi is a leading inn. The Japanese-style room has a private bath and toilet, and the food is Kyoto-style tea kaiseki. The proprietress and staff are very nice, and there are many regular female customers.

I stayed here for one night on a weekday.🍁We still had a quiet time. The landlady is very kind and allows you to store your luggage before climbing Mt. Oyama in the morning. We also reserved a private bath for an hour. It's a good dish if you use the plan that only includes dinner 👍🏻
