Japan's most wonderful first-class inn renovated from a samurai residenceThe chef of His Majesty the Emperor was there, and I was impressed by the exceptional taste!

You could call it a rental inn, but it is run in a remodeled old house along the inner moat of Matsue Castle. After being invited to a delicious meal, we are left alone in the house for the night. In modern terms, it would be a 3LDK. We were a family of 3, including children and couples, so surprisingly we didn't have to spend any money. The owner/cooking instructor who came to greet me was a bit annoying, and I ended up with a negative impression of his noble boasts. The location is good as you can easily walk to see Matsue Sei.The parking lot seemed to be a system where you could walk for a few minutes and use the parking lot of a tea room called Meimei-an.

7/16 I stayed with my family of 5. ||The parking lot is a little far away (about 1-2 minutes), but in order to maintain the view of the samurai residence district. There's nothing I can do about it. …

7/16 Matsue Castle It is a pleasant place with the appearance of a samurai residence, right next to the moat. They were very polite, greeting us upon arrival and seeing us off upon departure. The food was delicious, with a good amount of Japanese and Western food. The raw rock oysters and boiled abalone were very good.We rented a whole house for our family of 5, so we had no reservations and were able to stay comfortably. The owner likes to talk, so he can explain the ingredients, his history, and more. Some people may have likes and dislikes! ️The room is a remnant of the past and cannot be called new, but it's not a big deal.It was very good throughout! ️

It's a nice building and the staff was kind. The food was great, but there was more than we could eat, and the host who was making the food seemed to be a talkative person, so he sat there talking about himself throughout the meal, so we ended up talking as a family. I felt uncomfortable because I couldn't do it.Perhaps the cleaning wasn't done properly in some areas, but there was a lot of hair and dust in the room and changing area, which didn't make me feel good. After paying the bill, the husband didn't even show his face and didn't even see me off, which was very unpleasant.

This is a restaurant where you can eat authentic Japanese cuisine. The husband seems to have worked for famous hotels and the imperial family. They gather the best ingredients from local Shimane prefecture and all over the country, and use their skills to create wonderful dishes. You can use it for just meals or for lodging. It is reserved for one group per day. The chat with the host is also fun.
