The hot spring in the bathtub is not slippery at all. Adding too much medicine? Too little maintenance? When I asked them on the way home, they said, ``Due to the guidance of the public health center...'' Take good care of the hot springs, there won't be any next time. After that, I went to Nanasawaso, which has been rebuilt and is beautiful and the quality of the springs is excellent! There was a sauna and a doctor fish, and the spring quality was the best.

I stopped by on my way back from climbing Mt. Mimine. It rained on the way and my body was cold, so I was grateful that there was a hot spring at Shimoyamaguchi.Since it is a historical inn, it cannot be said that it has perfect facilities, but the lobby and open-air bath (I only went here for a day trip) have a nice atmosphere. There are three bars (men's side) and there is a one-hour usage limit, but since I went on a weekday afternoon, it was almost reserved.I'm very happy that I was able to take my time and relax.

Although it is adjacent to the nearest bus stop (Kousakuji Onsen), there are few buses, so it is best to check the timetable in advance.

Used for day trips. The temperature of the hot water was so low that it stuck to the hot water outlet and was barely enough to warm my body. I thought I was going to relax, but I was disappointed. There was hair floating in the water, and the changing rooms were far from clean. I won't be using it next time.

The soothing sounds of the river give you a strange feeling of going back in time.Since I was staying at a hot spring for a day trip, I was able to relax in the open-air bath, which was reserved for private use, although there was an hour-long usage limit. The temperature was between 40℃ and 42℃, so I was able to soak slowly without getting hot, which made me feel more satisfied. As others have posted, there were some small insects floating around the riverside, but I didn't notice them. The shower didn't come out very well, so I gave up on washing my hair.Next time I would like to make a reservation for lunch.

I stayed in the main building rather than in the annex.*As of January 2024, accommodation is only available on Saturdays and the middle days of consecutive holidays. I used it during the middle of the holidays.I was healed by the historic building and nostalgic atmosphere. There are day visitors until around 16:00, but it is quiet at night. The rooms are pure Japanese style and clean. The futon was soft and I slept soundly. If you stay overnight, you can use both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. The indoor bath is large enough to accommodate about 3 to 4 people, but since the number of guests is limited, you can stay at different times so that you won't overlap with other guests. (The separate room has an indoor hot spring.)The food was country cuisine from the mountains and rivers, and although it wasn't as fancy or voluminous as you would find at a major inn that focuses on seafood, it was delicious, with simple dishes that would make your body happy, and the portions were delicious.Elementary school children had the same menu as adults.Everyone, including the proprietress, treated me courteously, and I was healed by the quiet, calm environment and simple cuisine. If you want to relax, please come here.

I've used the hot springs for day trips dozens of times, but since last fall, I've become quite picky about the time.I've been to most of the baths in Nanasawa Itchi in this area, and although I like the hot water, it's never clean, only a cotton swab, no amenities, and only a weak hairdryer, and 1,000 yen an hour is definitely not cheap. It's still better to get a ticket for half price next time if you enter for 1,000 yen.If you have short hair or men, an hour is probably enough, but if you have long hair, it may take 20 minutes just to wash, shampoo, and blow dry.I won't be able to enter slowly unless you watch for at least an hour and a half. It's as if I'm telling you to wash it off, sweat, and go home. That may be why the bathtub is full of grime. If you're so picky about time, a super public bath with a proper hot spring is usually around 800 yen, and there's no time limit, they come every hour to check the quality of the water and clean it, and you can take your time in the bath. You can enjoy it and have time to have a drink after the bath. It looks like I will be away from the Nanasawa area for a while.
