There are many hotels in the area. Many on the beach are newer and luxurious. This hotel was 1/2 the price, and 2 blocks away from the beach. We were here as a baseball team from Hawaii and took 20 rooms for 5 days. …

It is very good traditional Japanese onsen. Japanese/Western-style Room (Twin Room + Japanese-style Room) is the best choice! Staff members are not English skilled but try to understand and serve the guests. …

I only go there for the visitors onsen. Only one bath, nothing fancy, but the quality of the hot water is great. Probably due to the salt concentration, You will feel warm even a few hours after taking a bath. Oh, and don't try the old fashioned game center there, most of the crane types machines are broken.

We stayed for two nights as a starting point for sightseeing in Tottori Sand Dunes and Mt. Daisen. The nearby business hotels were expensive, so the 8,000 yen price for a room without meals and a hot spring was attractive. There are izakayas, ramen shops, and convenience stores within walking distance, so you won't have any trouble finding a meal. When you walk through a back street at night, you'll be approached by a black-clothed man from a sex shop. There are no non-smoking rooms, so the staff will treat you with deodorant in advance. The smell bothers me when I enter the room, but I get used to it.It's an old Japanese-style room with three rooms, making it incredibly spacious. It was difficult to use the toilet because it was small and the door had a strong spring. There is no problem in the bathroom as there is a large bath.Motorcycles are allowed under the eaves next to the entrance.Yes, if hot springs or large public baths are a requirement.

It was a reasonable and comfortable accommodation. Although the building is showing its age, the quality of the hot springs at Kaike Onsen was excellent and I was very satisfied with the quality of the food both in the morning and in the evening. All the staff members were so enthusiastic that I almost felt sad when I left. I want to go again.

I stayed here for the purpose of hot springs. Although the inn is older, the quality of the hot springs was good and the overall price was reasonable. The receptionist and all the staff were very kind. When checking in, I was escorted to the elevator and given a detailed explanation of the facility. The entire inn appears to have been well-maintained, although there is noticeable deterioration over time. The room (non-smoking) had a distinct smell of cigarettes, probably because it was once a smoking room, but it was within an acceptable range. The food is plentiful and tastes pretty average. The waitress took good care of me and I was able to enjoy the crab with the crab included plan. The noise from the hallway is quite loud, so if there are people making noise, I think it will be quite noticeable. The voices of people talking in the room can often be heard in the hallway, so you need to be considerate of each other.

Stayed on tour. I also want to complain to the tour operator. The room is not old or dirty. The wallpaper is peeling. It's torn. The floor is full of stains and creaks. I'm scared and haven't slept. Why rent a room like this as a guest room? There are many steps and stairs, and it is not barrier-free. The mat on the walkway to the dining hall is turned up. The food was also disappointing. If you don't rent out the rooms you can use as guest rooms and provide good customer service with a small group, you're on the road to going out of business. Not sure why 3 stars

It was my first time visiting. At check-in, I was impressed by the politeness of several male staff members.I was grateful that my heavy luggage was carried to my room. The room was a special room and was very spacious and comfortable. The bath is not open-air and is only indoors, which is a bit unsatisfactory.Amenities also seem to be minimal.I was looking forward to eating crab, but it tasted obviously frozen and the crab miso was too smelly to be edible. The crab meat didn't feel too stuffy either. The tempura came out towards the end of the meal, and was lukewarm and not properly fried, which was disappointing as the cod and shrimp were also raw.The grilled mackerel for breakfast was also cold and disappointing. After all, hot things are best, and cold things are best! The rest of the meal was just average. As others have written, you can't deny the Showa era feel, including inside the building. However, the price is relatively low, so if you want a reasonable stay at Kaike Onsen and don't have to worry about staying at a ryokan, this is recommended.

I stayed there with my parents.I had informed them in advance about my father's disability, but the attitude of the employees was terrible.Of course, we stayed at the inn knowing that it was an old inn and there were many steps.I was so tired from traveling that I almost fell down several times while moving around the facility, but it was heartbreaking to see that there was no response or encouragement from the staff. It may be a hit or miss with the employees, but even though I had informed them in advance that I had a disability, I regret choosing this inn due to the inconsiderate response.
