This lodge is located near the trailhead from the Tottori Prefecture side of Mt. Hyono, right in front of the ski resort's large parking lot. It is open all year round, not just during the ski season. From spring to autumn, it is also a great base for climbing Mt. Hyono.The rooms are spacious, and the bedding, toilets, and baths are clean and well-maintained. The food made with local ingredients is delicious, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness. You can stay there for the same price as a mountain hut. The cost performance can be said to be exceptionally good.I used it the night before because I wanted to enjoy climbing Mt.Hyono. Leaving home in the middle of the night and taking a nap early in the morning can be tough, and you want to be in good condition for the climb, so if you're in a remote area, I recommend staying the night before.This time, I took the ice-crossing course, walked along the ridge from the summit, passed Sannomaru, and then took the lower route via the ski slopes. It's a gentle mountain road with no dangerous or difficult spots, and is recommended for beginners and families as it allows you to enjoy a bit of a full-fledged ridgeline walk. I think it gives a sense of security that there are evacuation huts and clean toilets near each mountaintop. I think it would be a good idea to take advantage of these year-round facilities at ski resorts for your summer adventures in the mountains.

◇Added 2023/3/8 visitThe other day, I used it again on March 8th by myself from Matsue. It was empty on a weekday, and the price was discounted, so it felt like a good deal, and I enjoyed myself to the fullest until the very end of my time. Thank you again for your kind response. Next year, if possible, I'd like to invite some acquaintances to go snowboarding.◇First visit 2022/3/27I'm almost a beginner in skiing, and I've been going from Matsue to Mt. Daisen in Tottori for the past few years and enjoying it, but the ski resort at Mt. Daisen that I always go to is closed on March 21st. I looked it up on the internet and found out that Wakasa Hyonoyama Ski Resort was still open on March 27th, so I went there for the first time and rented skis at Hutte Shirakaba.It was a lively shop with many familiar customers. Although it was my first time using the service, I was able to enjoy the day to the fullest thanks to their thorough explanations and support. The lunch looked delicious, and I ate it at the facility closest to where I was skiing this time, but I think I'll use it next time.***OwnerThank you very much for your reply.
