I bought a fishing boat from Yamaguchi and was on my way to Okinawa when I encountered stormy weather so I stayed in Yakushima for 3 nights.I was looking for a place to stay on Yakushima at night, but I couldn't find one and was introduced to Ponkan from another guesthouse. I got itDespite my sudden request, I was able to stay overnight.Thank you madam and daughterI look forward to seeing you again next time you visit Yakushima.

I visited alone 7 summers ago! Even though I was a foreigner and couldn't understand the language, the owner's grandmother welcomed me so warmly and took good care of me. When I think about that time, I always feel grateful. The calm sea and sea turtles are also such beautiful memories!

I was also looking for Ponkan, but I wanted to go to Kurio Bridge, so I rented a car. This is an irresistible place for Wednesday fans.

When I woke up and opened the window of my room,The river flowing in front of me,Along with the mountain sceneryIt’s absolutely wonderful✨The stars are beautiful and there is no noise.The air is also delicious.The soothing mother of the inn,It’s the best✨It was a wonderful hideout✨Wow, I want to live there✨

Although it is not a new building, it is a very comfortable inn where you can stay overnight without meals. Being able to freely use the large dining kitchen is also a big plus. There are very few accommodations in the western part of Yakushima, so I'm very grateful.

This is a highly recommended accommodation for those who want to spend a long and relaxing time!I was very grateful that there was a kitchen so I could cook and I was able to use the washing machine for free ^ ^I was surprised at how beautiful the view of the river was from the window.The Kuryu area is a very quiet port town, and there are many walking courses such as the beach called Tight Pool, around the campsite, and Ishikusuhana Park, and it is recommended for those who like walking, as it is about an hour walk to Okawa Falls!The wife is also a wonderful and kind person ✨
