We were looking forward to this trip as a family of 4 after a long time, but there was an extremely unexpected incident and an unexpected response that followed.[Renewed Japanese Modern Room] If you are considering using the Corner Comfort Room in the future, please be sure to check with the hotel before making a reservation. We paid a little more and booked this room for the purpose of enjoying it. However, as soon as I entered the room, I encountered a problem. The bathroom is leaking a ``smell that smells like a public toilet,'' and it has spread to the sink and the front room. When I called the front desk immediately, the woman answered in a confused manner and said she was sorry. I had no choice but to approach him and say, ``Can't we do something?'' The manager finally came to see it.The cause of the foul odor is unknown. However, the manager surprisingly replied, ``We will prepare deodorant.'' It's not a subtle smell that can be tolerated by something like that. The smell is coming from the ventilation fan, and there's probably an underlying problem with the plumbing. Despite this, they somehow managed to get him to stay the night. I was so confused that I asked, ``Isn't there another room like this?'' When I asked her, "This smell is too harsh," she finally replied that she would consider another room. After a while, he said, ``None of the rooms are available, but we do have a 12 tatami room (normal room, quite a downgrade)...''. Since the smell was at a limit, I persuaded my daughter that this room was good, and we ended up staying in a 12 tatami room. It's been over an hour so far, and I'm pretty frustrated with the lack of empathy, apology, and quick response.I was talking to my wife about what the charges would be, but there was no explanation, and the manager came the next day just before checking out.``We apologize for the inconvenience, but what do you think?'' The price was discounted by 20,000 yen. However, that is almost the list price of the 12 tatami room we moved to. This really bothered me. "If it was this room, I wouldn't have chosen this hotel in the first place. I was downgraded to stay there, and the reason for that was probably due to poor maintenance, but isn't this price almost the regular price? This is... How do you feel?” I was already feeling pretty disappointed that I couldn't stay in the room I wanted to stay in, but I felt like my feelings weren't conveyed to me, and I also felt angry at this response. The results were then discussed further, and I was satisfied with the results. What I meant was not the price. Even though the front desk person who answered the phone and the manager work in the travel industry, they understand the expectations that travelers have of accommodations and the time they spend there (the time they spend asking questions and answering questions takes away from precious time with their families). I've always wondered if you realize that things like these are precious things that cannot be changed with money. If I had that kind of sincerity and compassion, I wouldn't have been so angry from the beginning. There is one more problem with that room. The toilet does not have a ventilation fan. When you press the button on the bathroom ventilation fan, the bathroom ventilation fan starts operating from a distance. In other words, I think they are sharing one ventilation fan. However, the duct leading to the toilet is too long and there is hardly any suction. I had another person take a look at this, but there was nothing I could do. The suction power is too weak, and I have confirmed that it does not move at all by applying a tissue to it. I think this is a design error related to the renovation, so I would like to see it corrected as soon as possible.I think it would be a good idea for those staying overnight to confirm that the problem with the ventilation fan and the strange odor in the bathroom has been resolved. Otherwise, even a nice room will be ruined.I thought that the owner was not properly informed about the whole process of my stay, and that he thought I was a strange complainer, so I wrote about the actual situation.I would also like to thank the waitress who took care to talk to me at the meal table, and the doorman who waved at me until he was out of sight on the way home, for their excellent customer service. (I'm sorry that the umbrella you borrowed broke due to the strong wind)I don't have anything to say about the inn, whether it's cheap or bad, but it's probably an inn that aims to be 3 or 4 stars. If that's the case, I think it would be best to reconsider this kind of response.I apologize for the long post. The first photo: Moved from the good room ⇒ The second photo: To the normal room (crying)Added on 2024.10.8The entry I wrote on Rakuten Travel was deleted within a week. They said that the smell had improved, but the fact that the ventilation fan in the toilet wasn't working properly was a structural problem, so it shouldn't have been fixed. There was an apology from the landlady in the comment section, but isn't it too early to delete it?

This is a small, compact hotel. The baths are warm hot springs with one indoor bath and one open-air bath. The inside of the hotel is compact, so the dining areas and bathrooms weren't too far away. The route is clean and beautiful with luxurious rooms such as water streams that are pleasing to the eye. What I'm interested in is things that are perfect and have no complaints. For example, when you arrive at your room, there's already hot water in the pot, there's also a pot for iced water, and there's an extension cord for charging. It's a small thing, but it's kind of annoying when you come to your room tired and don't have hot water. So I'm grateful.I'm also glad that the sweets in the room aren't dry sweets.Breakfast was also delicious, as per the reviews, the clam soup was well-drained and very delicious. When I asked for ice on the way home, they happily gave it to me, and when I checked out, I was given candy, which made my heart warm.I would like to come again.

The food is great. Although there was a wait for the food to be served, all of the menu items were delicious. I felt that the staff worked with all their heart. The room was clean and the inside of the building was also very clean. The souvenir corner was well stocked, and the baths were at a suitable temperature.I thought all of them were very good inns.

There is a large free parking lot in front of the hotel, and as soon as we arrived, someone came to greet us and show us around. Welcome drink service available. After checking in, I immediately went to my room, which was a large Japanese-style room with a toilet and bath. There was an electric kettle and a pot with cold water, and there were 4 types of tea in the sweets and manju shop.Check-in is from 3pm.We were able to choose the time for dinner and breakfast, and we enjoyed a slow and delicious kaiseki meal at a separate dining hall on the same floor as our room. The sashimi in particular was fresh and delicious, and the salt-grilled sweetfish had just the right amount of salt and was grilled to perfection. The waiter was also a pleasant person.Around 8 o'clock, fireworks were going off in the distance. There were fireworks going on nearby starting at 9:15pm, so I went up to the 9th floor and was able to enjoy them. The public bath is open on the basement floor from 3pm to midnight. Morning hours are from 5am to 9am. The hot springs were not crowded and I went there three times. It also came with a discounted drink coupon that can be used multiple times at the venue. Check out was at 10am.I had a delicious meal and was able to enjoy the hot springs very slowly.Recommended.

The room had been beautifully renovated and was nice. However, my family and I took two rooms of the same type, and one had an old unit bath, and the other had a new, larger bathtub. It seems like it's hit or miss. I booked a room with a view of the fireworks, and I was able to see them, but I thought it was on the beach, but unfortunately it was a little far away. It's about a 5 minute walk, so it's not far, but the scenery was a bit disappointing. The food was delicious, but as others have said, it felt rushed. The bath water is the best. The open-air bath gives the impression that it lacks a sense of openness.
