There's nothing...The toilets are in a shared hallway, the kitchen is the same, and the baths are the same...There are no food places or convenience stores right outside.

At first, I searched in Oarai Town, but perhaps because it was close to the holidays, there were no suitable accommodations, but they were expensive, so I expanded my search and found one. I booked a room without meals for 3 adults and 2 elementary school students, 2 6 tatami rooms, no bath and toilet, but I was glad that the room was changed to 8 tatami mats with a toilet. I think it's a little cheaper than 20,000 yen during the holidays. Although the building is old, it was well kept. It was a three-story building with no elevator, and the communal toilet was Japanese-style, but the one in the room was Western-style. The bath was small (for about 3 women?), but there was a communal bath that could be reserved for private use. It is located in a quiet residential area a little far from Mito Station. There seem to be quite a few bus services from Mito Station. This time I was driving, so I was able to park right in front for free, which was even more convenient than in front of the station.

No WiFi. No refrigerator. No washing machine. Weak signal due to reinforced concrete. 4800 yen for a room without meals and cannot use a credit card. Well, I won't use it again.

2024/04Visited again after several years. There is a curfew. There is a supermarket within walking distance.I wonder if I can go for a walk.Seems like a family run business. After a short wait at the front desk, they responded. There is a communal bath, and the hours are set.Separate for men and women, so it's easy to use.Sometimes the room has a toilet. There seemed to be a driver using the road as a way out, and I could hear the sounds of cars in the middle of the night....However, it is a residential area. It's basically quiet, so the environment is good.

There are only Japanese style toilets. There are no handrails either. (It was difficult because I have bad knees)Although the reservation site specified non-smoking, there was an ashtray and there was a slight smell of resin. There is also a small large public bath, and the cleaning was thorough, so I recommend it if you don't mind the above.

Good to have cheap and free parking!Might be good for those who just need to be able to sleepI wonder if it has a Showa feel. There's a curfew, so it's probably not suitable for people who want to go drinking in the downtown area.
