Advance card payments can be made from the official website. The view from the rooftop open-air bath is spectacular. A herd of wild boars was walking down the street at night.

I stayed in a room with a hot spring. The view was great and it was open. The night view is also beautiful. The overall atmosphere was old and Showa-era, but the bath was still so pleasant that I wanted to come back again.

My family and I stayed here when visiting graves in Ibaraki, and we also used the hot springs several times for day trips. Good for those who like a friendly Showa-style feel 😊

I wanted to go to Mt. Tsukuba Shrine, so I went to Aokiya, which was right in front of me.The building seemed very old, but the inside was very clean and renovated and I was able to spend a comfortable time there. Both the Japanese staff and the foreign staff are very kind and courteous. My impression is that it feels very nice.As mentioned in the reviews, the indoor bath is hot, but not so hot that you can't take a bath. The temperature of the open-air bath is just right and the view is amazing! The night view was also very beautiful. The changing rooms and bathrooms are hygienic.I've been there many times. Both breakfast and dinner were very satisfying and the seasoning was just right.I heard a crackling sound coming from the back of the dining hall, so I looked over and saw that the cook was serving tempura!I was able to enjoy 5 types of piping hot tempura, and my level of satisfaction increased.I was impressed that the other hot items also came out piping hot!One thing I would say is that the dinner food was not very tasty. It didn't seem like it was freshly cooked. On the contrary, the morning meal was white in color, smelled good, and was delicious. At dinner, I refrained from having rice because one of my family members had been drinking, but he made me a rice ball instead.I had it for a late night snack with kelp inside. I was really happy.Overall, I got a high score and thought it was a considerate inn.I was greeted politely on my way home, and I was able to stay in a good mood throughout the day.I'm thinking of coming solo this time.

I went to a hot spring for a day trip, but the temperature of the bath was too hot, and I tried to take a bath in the open-air bath at just the right temperature, but the blazing sun was so hot that I couldn't stay in it. It would be nice to have a sunshade. 1,200 yen is for the scenery. When you stand up in the open-air bath, you can see all the nearby private houses, so I had to crouch down the entire time.

The food was delicious and satisfying. However, since there wasn't much ice in the highball and the carbonation was weak, I wanted it to be strongly carbonated. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the scenery due to the unfortunate rain.

Take a break with your family on weekdays. You can rest for 3 hours in your room. You can have a set meal if you make a reservation in advance, but this time I brought my own food. Then, head to the famous cloud-top hot spring. The sense of openness overlooking the Kanto Plain is wonderful. The hot water is clear with little saltiness, and although it doesn't look like a hot spring, it is still a hot spring. The hospitality at Aokiya was wonderful, and all the staff did their best to accommodate us. The building is old, but it felt clean.I would like to use it again.
