Located in the center of Onomichi's largest entertainment district, Shinkai, this ``Yukakuso'' is famous for being able to stay in a red-light district. The building is impressive, with traces of the red-light district era, such as the wide wooden staircase leading up to the second floor and the decorative small windows. It can be said that the rooms have unique names, such as compact Western-style rooms and Japanese-style rooms with alcoves, which are named after ancient place names in Onomichi. Each room has an artist's mural, a sliding door with a bold moon and crane design, and a modern Japanese design. However, the inside of the building is unmanned, the check-in process is complicated, and the management's policies are a bit inconsistent, so I would like them to communicate the necessary information clearly. As someone who is familiar with business hotels, I was surprised, but I felt that they didn't provide enough support to people who were unfamiliar with the hotel.

Looking at the map, I thought it was very far away, but from Onomichi Station, I just walked along the shopping street and then went around the alley. Overall, it's not very far.The atmosphere of the hotel is very good. The old building retains the feeling of the past. The sense of history and atmosphere will make travelers who want to experience it deeply feel it; and the necessary facilities, such as toilets, sinks, washing facilities, etc. They have all been renovated, so they don't feel unhygienic or inconvenient. They are fully equipped. However, the sound insulation of the old house is not good, and the wooden floors are prone to making noise. In addition, nearby shops will not close until after twelve o'clock. Because there are many drinking shops, the noise is a bit loud. Before twelve o'clock, Not easy to fall asleep. If you have poor sleep quality, you can consider it.But if you want to feel the atmosphere of Yukoo in the past, or if you want to take beautiful photos, this is the right place. Overall, there are pros and cons. I think it is quite comfortable to live in when there are not many people on weekdays. There are few restaurants nearby, so you have to go out early to eat.
