The free-flowing hot springs and breakfast were very good.The hot springs had good quality and were very relaxing.The breakfast was made with a lot of vegetables and had a variety of side dishes and breads, so it was as luxurious as a buffet. I had it two days in a row, and the menu was different, so I was very satisfied!The rooms are clean and each room has a desk, so I think it's a good place for a workday.The host was very kind and it was a great accommodation considering the price!

If I could give Wako-san's place 10 out of 5 stars I would! The pension is comfortable and very well-equipped for long stays, and our room was nice and spacious. The onsen is absolutely divine, we ended up using it almost every night as we were lucky enough to be the only guests for most of our stay - we didn't even try out the other onsens in town as we already had our own private one at home! The surroundings are beautiful and very peaceful, though the pension is a bit far away from town. It takes about an hour to walk to Togatta Onsen; it's a very nice walk but it can be tiresome on the way back because of the steepish incline - keep this in mind if you won't have a vehicle with you. Lastly, Wako-san is a total superhost. She's friendly, proactive and extremely helpful. She picked us up and dropped us off in Togatta way too many times, provided excellent local recommendations, and cooked us the best breakfasts we've had in Japan so far. Do not miss out the chance to try her cooking!
