I went there thinking that even if it's not crab season, there's definitely some delicious seafood! Yes, there was. I didn't know that firefly squid was a specialty. We had turban shells, scallops, white squid, mosaebi, and sandfish grilled on a charcoal grill. The staff at the inn will take care of the baking. It goes well with alcohol. Lastly, we had Tajima beef and grilled rice balls. It was delicious. I'm full. The breakfast was also satisfying with local ingredients. Next time I want to go during crab season.Everyone at the hostel was very nice. There is a bath at the inn, but there is a hot spring nearby.

I stayed here for one night in connection with a certain station information game. Although we arrived late at night, it was pitch black, but we were kindly welcomed and guided carefully. The bathtub was warm and comfortable, and the bed was soft and comfortable.Thank you for your help.

2024/3/29 I'm a crab lover, but I usually only eat boiled snow crab from the supermarket a few times a year, but I wanted to take the plunge and eat Matsuba crab, so I went from the Kanto region to Hamasaka, which has the largest catch in Japan. I decided to do this and booked a full course dinner here. I was very satisfied with the crab miso, crab sashimi, grilled crab, and hot pot. I was impressed by how authentic this taste was. I thought it would be a good idea to splurge once a year. From Kanto, it is easily accessible from Haneda Airport to Tottori Airport and a few minutes walk from Hamasaka Station on the San'in Main Line. For bathing, you can get a free ticket to Utopia Hamasaka, which is just a few minutes walk away. The room was also clean. On the way home, I received Hamasaka's specialty grilled chikuwa as a souvenir. I would also like to try the Sanzoku-yaki from April.

I used it on a solo trip in February 2024.Up until now, I had only eaten crab sticks, so I wanted to try the seasonal Matsuba crab, so I decided to visit.Guest roomAs per the reviews, the cleaning is thorough.I thought the room would be quite cold since it was an older building, but they turned on the heating before I checked in, so when I entered the room it was very warm and I didn't mind at all. There is also a humidifier next to the bed, so if you are concerned about dryness, I think that can help.A pitcher of cold tea will be brought to your room. There is also a pot so you can drink hot tea right away.In addition to the basic amenities, there were lotions as well. There is a family bath on the first floor, which is slightly larger than a bath in a typical home. There is a hot spring. The source of Hamasaka is very hot, so I adjusted the temperature with water as I entered the water. As soon as I entered, my body felt warm.serviceSince it was a weekday and it wasn't very crowded, the proprietress basically took care of everything.I felt very energetic and energized. The proprietress is a certified crab sommelier and will teach you how to grill, boil, and easily peel the crab.dinnerSince I was going to Hyogo Prefecture, I chose the live Matsuba crab course. We started with seasonal fish sashimi and crab miso.I was told that the best way to eat crab miso without seasoning is on the shell of a large male crab, heated over charcoal, so I ate it as is. The sashimi was delicious, but the crab miso was especially delicious.I thought it would be bitter, but it wasn't. I can't really explain the taste because I've never had it before, but it was very delicious and my favorite out of all the dishes that were served. I didn't have any white rice as the rice porridge was served as a finale (the crab alone was enough to fill my stomach), but I thought it would be great to have with rice.Afterwards, we enjoyed grilled crab, boiled crab, rice porridge, and dessert (jelly made with white rose milk and fruits such as kiwi on top).breakfastGrilled flounder, female crab miso, etc. came out.The crab miso goes really well with the rice, and I can't remember much about the other dishes. After breakfast, we used the family bath in the facility. The changing room was heated and very warm and comfortable to use.placeIt's on the Sea of Japan side of Hyogo Prefecture, so it's difficult to get to Hamasaka, but there's an inn located about 5 minutes from Hamasaka Station, so you can easily get there from the station.Just a short walk from the inn, I was able to enjoy the scenery of the sea and shrines, which was refreshing.
