Fabulous glamping campground perfect for trekkers and travelers alike. Conveniently located for Nakasendo hikers. This campground is a year old. It was opened by a young couple with a passion for helping visitors enjoy the natural beauty of this region. The land is serene, quiet with stunning views overlooking the valley. The facilities are very clean. The shared kitchen space was well equipped with modern elegance fit for a magazine. The tents are of high quality with sheltered fronts and picnic tables. Each tent is spaced well to allow for privacy. The shared shower was lovely and clean. Our one piece of advice is to bring your own towel as they charge you to use one. Hopefully in the future this will change and towels will be free as they are an essential piece of staying in the tent - especially if it rains. If it rains be careful with your trekking gear because even inside the tents everything becomes damp and there are no dryers onsite - another amenity we hope will be added in the future. They provide an incredibly generous amount of food that is fresh and well prepared. Honestly, they could have provided less food, but we were grateful as there was plenty left over for lunches and travel snacks. The staff are friendly, kind, knowledgeable and we were able to communicate well with just a little help from Google Translate on occasion. They arranged a taxi for us, helped us with camping gear, and were very diligent about cleanliness. We cannot recommend Ties more. It was among the best places we stayed in Japan. The owner is also building a gorgeous deck with onsen built-in - we can't wait to come back and see how it turns out!

Perfect place to camp out, without having to bring any gear. Ties can facilitate everything you need, from fire wood to a bbq, if you wish, (some items for a small cost ofcourse). But the ability to just arrive with a backpack and enjoy the nature on the Nakasendo trail, is fantastic. The team is lovely too, they are very accommodating and speak English well. We only spend one night, but we would certainly come again! This location was a top highlight of our 3 week travel through Japan.

You can experience glamping in the midst of nature with a beautiful view of the mountain hills. The starry sky is amazing at night. You can also play in the nearby river with crystal clear water. It was the perfect place to relax and get away from the busy life of the city!

I love this glamping campground! It's a bit out of the way for someone touring Japan with an oversized suitcase, like us, but the owners and staff were awesome and made our stay pleasant.First, we had no camp gear, brought no food, and arrived by taxi after forwarding our suitcase and hiking the Nakasendo all day from Magome Juku. A short communication with ties campground allowed us to order breakfast food. It is a very ample amount and easy to cook. All cooking gear and bedding were provided.Hosts are generously kind and pleasant to converse with. They provided use with extra assistance for taxi and train schedule to our next destination. I would come again, but in cooler weather.

Right in the middle of the nakasendo trail between magomejuku and kiso valley. The tent is huge with comfy beds inside. Tent, bathroom, shower, common area are all spot clean and well organized. The host is super helpful and friendly.

We've had an amazing time travelling Japan, and this has absolutely been one of the highlights. The hosts are wonderful and so kind, the glamping bell tents and facilities are luxurious and all the extras are we'll priced. The shabu shabu dinner is a must. 10/10.

Sadly just a short stop for us in this stunning location. Our hosts were incredibly generous with their time and facilities and provided a wonderful dinner. The tents were absolutely HUGE. I would have like to stay for longer and to have tried their coffee. Maybe next time!
