An inn near Ontake Ropeway. It takes about 10 minutes by car to the ropeway stop "Kanose" station.A splendid bath with free flowing water from the source. The rooms are spacious, and the layout, bedding, and furniture have the style of a long-established inn.The landlady is working hard to keep the business open. Currently, meals are not provided and only overnight stays are possible. The price for a room without meals is as low as 6,000 yen (as of 2024). In addition, we were introduced to ``Cafe KAZE'' in Kaida Kogen, which is about 10 minutes away by car, as a place to have dinner. Reason for being open until 10pm.I think it's the perfect place to stay the night before climbing Mt. Ontake, or as a place to rest after descending. I used the hotel the night before, and they were happy to provide various services to suit my convenience, such as an early departure. Open only on weekends and holidays outside of high season. A drop-in hot spring is also open.

I was sweating from Mt. Ontake, so I went to a hot spring for a day trip! ``Grandma's House'' is a valuable experience where you can drink the water directly from the source.I couldn't get through the phone (apparently the signal was bad) and it was just before 3pm, so I wasn't sure if it was open, but I'm glad I went! There are no lockers, so you have to leave everything except the 500 yen bathing fee in your car. The towel costs 150 yen.I was surprised at how narrow the bathroom was, a household size!I thought it would be a bit amazing to be here with other people, but they'll come (especially men). When I asked my husband, he said there were 6 adults crammed in here (lol). The hot spring tasted like salty iron and I couldn't drink it even though I tried hard. But your skin is smooth! There is a tatami resting room, so you can take a break while waiting for a meeting.
