You can use the free drink bar 24 hours a day.The parking lot is a bit small. It is said that if the space is full, you will be directed to a separate location, so if you have a lot of luggage, I recommend checking in early.I was assigned to the first floor, and although it was a little humid because it was located by the river, the view was nice. The only thing is, the insect screen was hanging so precariously that it almost seemed like it would fall off, so I couldn't leave the window open for fear of bugs coming in.The room is spacious, but the bathroom is very small. There is nothing special about the hot spring, it is clean and a bit hot.The breakfast was generally average, but the grilled fish had a strong fishy smell. I was already very hungover from drinking too much at an izakaya the day before, so I desperately wished I had some porridge.

The hotel is getting old. It could definitely use a renovation. We were there with 2 teenagers and it was okay. The rooms were large by Japanese standards. We had 4 beds in one room. The breakfast was according to the price. I have a little trouble with rice and soup for breakfast, but that's my fault and not what the hotel offers. There was also yogurt and Nescafé from a machine.I was missing some fruit and real orange juice. Breakfast is served until 8:30 a.m. and you are politely asked to leave the room at 9:00 a.m. That's a bit tight with teenagers😅! But I could take my coffee to our room. The washing machine and dryer were also very practical. I was happy to make use of it.There is an onsen in the hotel. Since young people aren't allowed there and I have tattoos, we didn't test it.Specially and for Mangad enthusiasts, the hotel has a mega collection to borrow. Not so practical for us because it's in Japanese but I think many Japanese will appreciate this convenience. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. So it's also easy to reach.

I stayed for one night with 30 touring cars🏍️. Dinner (all-you-can-drink) arrived at 16,000 yen, and the number of dishes was good for the price. As for the service, the staff from foreign countries (Southeast Asia) were prompt and spoke Japanese. Breakfast was a buffet and the food was poor. The bath was also nice with the water flowing directly from the source. It was a pity that there was no convenience store nearby.

After a long hike from Nagiso to Nojiri, then a train onto Kiso-Fukushima the hotel was a welcome sight. The room was huge, lots of amenities. My stay included dinner and breakfast & hot spring access. It's excellent value for money.Guests also have access to a hot/cold/soft drink bar, self-serve. There are tons of mags manga books to thumb through, though you'd need to be able to read Japanese for those. There's a vending machine in the lobby, which also stocked a variety of beer and chu-hai. There's a washing machine and dryer (pay) on the 3rd floor. My room was right outside the hot spring and had very nice views of the Kiso river.Sen-san, who checked me in was very nice, explained everything fully. She noticed I had a Vietnamese name, and we talked in Vietnamese. She is also fluent in Japanese and English. She was always helpful and I felt very welcome. The negatives as mentioned, the rooms are dated but that is normal for Ryokans of this age. I was given a smoking room, which had a strong smell of tobacco. I was spending 30 minutes at a time in the room, so I thought it would be ok. But when I tried to sleep, it definitely affected my ability to sleep as the smell of tobacco was overwhelming. So much so that I could not sleep until 3am. I would definitely request a non-smoking room for your stay.

I use it every year for work. I booked a single room because I was alone, but I had found out at the time of booking that there was no toilet in the room, but I checked in early to request a room as close to the toilet as possible, but the room I was given I asked to change to a room closer to the toilet, which was far away from the toilet, but was told that they were fully booked and could not change the room today. I thought they should have been able to exchange rooms with guests who had not arrived yet since the hotel had allocated the rooms without permission, but they stubbornly replied that they could not do that. He was an inflexible employee. From next year, I will book at another hotel.
