Small quaint Ryokan run by a family. Share Toilet & Bath but if you can get the room nearby is ok. Simple place.Outside environment is nice with river, pond & great view of the mountain.

I went there a couple of times, and it was a nice place in a quiet mountain surrounded by rivers, ponds, and marshes on three sides. The food and the room were of good quality. I want to go again.

This time, my plans were suddenly changed to stay for two nights, so I couldn't make accommodation arrangements in advance, so I contacted all the accommodations in Narai-juku on Google Maps the day before, but they all turned me down and I was having a hard time. ️ I searched the area extensively and found this Ryokan Sansui, and even though I had made a sudden reservation, I was accepted. 😅After stopping at Matsumoto Castle from Obuse, I searched for Ryokan Sansui on Google Maps, accessed it, and found it using the navigation guide. 😃From the Ryokan Sansui signboard along R19, we climbed about 1.5km up the mountain to arrive. 😄There was a slightly old building on the side of the valley. The water in the valley was very beautiful and clear. 😃Near the entrance, there were multiple rubber length fishing rods hanging out to dry. This inn seemed to be a purveyor to mountain stream anglers.Inside the museum, there were several stuffed chars and amago caught by mountain stream fishing Taikobo, as well as many photos of his fishing results. 😃

The inn and rooms are clean and the atmosphere is peaceful. The landlady (sorry if I use the wrong words 🙇🏻‍♂️) is kind and easy to talk to. The food is delicious. Recommended for people walking Nakasendo or people who like quiet inns. I'm sorry that I'm not good at Japanese.

It's a wonderful accommodation. This is a hidden gem inn. I think it's irresistible for people who go mountain stream fishing! They treated me like family, and I'm really glad I took care of them!
