I stayed here during my fall trip.This is a long-established inn located in Tenryu Gorge.Located right next to the Tenryu River, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the gorge from the guest rooms.The ryokan is a very quiet environment where you can relieve the fatigue caused by the hustle and bustle of the city.Since it was fall season, I had the matsutake mushroom kaiseki meal.As for access, the inn website says Igara bus stop.There is a statement that there is a shuttle service from Tenryukyo Station (as of October 18, 2024), but in reality, it seems that there is only a shuttle service from Tenryukyo Station. However, I feel that it is dishonest to the guests to keep posting things that are different from reality on the website.In fact, if you don't have to pick up or drop off at Tenryukyo Station, I think that should be reflected on the website.I stayed at Ryukyo-tei and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, hot springs, and food, but this was the only thing that was a little disappointing.

To be honest, since I was on a cheap plan, I was prepared to receive the same level of service, but as soon as I checked in, those concerns disappeared.Upon arrival, a soft-spoken employee will take you to the guest room where you will be treated to local specialty tea and herbal tea.After a thorough explanation, we were shown to a room with a spectacular view of Tenryu Gorge.Of course, both dinner and breakfast were nothing special, and although it was pitch black at night and I couldn't see, the view from the restaurant during breakfast was spectacular and I was very impressed.The inn looms a little towards the river, so the sense of being there was irreplaceable.I think it can't be helped that there are a lot of mosquitoes and insects because there is so much nature. If you are really concerned, it may be better to visit in the winter since there will be fewer insects.The effects of the hot springs were good. If I had to say it, it would be great if the bath felt a little more natural, but this is just a list. lolThe customer service and inn were so good that I felt sorry for staying on a cheap plan (*^^*)I would like to visit you again if I have a chance.thank you very much!

Visited for the first time because of the good reviews.Although the building, which was completed in 1980, is aging, it has been well-maintained and has been well-maintained. It was also impressive to see that there were many unopened rooms reminiscent of those days, such as wedding halls and photo rooms.The tatami mats in the room are new, and when you enter, you can smell the faint scent of rushes. The futons and curtains are clean and comfortable. The bathroom, washbasin, and toilet are all in one, and although it can't be denied that it feels outdated, it is kept clean.I'm thankful that there are free mini cans of beer, ginger ale, and apple juice in the fridge. The view from the room is definitely the best.For dinner, we were lucky enough to have freshly fried tempura, and the chef brought it to us fried at the counter. It was so delicious that I was so focused on eating that I forgot to take a photo! Overall, both quantity and quality were at a high level. By the way, freshly fried tempura is not available every day.The most important bath is the one where men and women take turns, and the small bath was a little disappointing, but the Tenboburo had a great view. The hot water itself was naturally good in both cases. They also used high-quality soaps that I felt they were particular about.Overall, it was a good inn where I felt they tried their best to provide hospitality, both in terms of intangibles and intangibles.
