The exterior of the building is old, an old-fashioned inn.The air conditioner in the room is set according to the time you arrive, the bath is heated, and if you turn on early, the room is hot and the bath is lukewarm.There were a lot of dead spiders in the changing room of the open-air bath, which had not been cleaned.The room had been beautifully renovated, but there were large cockroaches that made me feel anxious!!All the rice is delicious! Our trip to Hosenji Onsen Takimotokan was a relaxing experience surrounded by tranquil nature. I arrived by train and bus, but there were fewer buses on holidays (4 per day), so I had a hard time coordinating my time. However, the stay after arrival was very satisfactory.The biggest attraction of the inn is definitely the food. The dinner was surprisingly voluminous, each dish carefully prepared and very delicious.The room was spacious and comfortable. You can see the rich nature from the window, and if you are lucky you may see Japanese serows and monkeys. This time, I was able to actually encounter a Japanese serow, which was a valuable experience.The hot springs are characterized by their unique hot spring quality, which is ``thick and slippery''. It had the effect of making the skin smooth, and although the temperature was a little lukewarm, it was just right for a long bath. However, it was a bit disappointing that we could not use the open-air bath due to wild animals.The inn has a water dispenser, coffee, and tea for drinks, but there are no vending machines. If you need additional drinks, we recommend bringing them in advance.Kakegawa Kachoen Garden is a recommended sightseeing spot in the area. Your trip will be even more fulfilling if you combine your visit with overnight stay.Overall, Hosenji Onsen Takimotokan was a wonderful accommodation where you can enjoy the rich nature, delicious food, and soothing hot springs. Dinner is as varied as the reviews say.The hot springs are also very smooth.The room has been renovated and has a nice tatami smell.The bath time is displayed as 6:00 to 22:00, but...After dinner, the landlady asked me if I wanted to take a bath, and when I said I would, she told me to call the front desk when I was finished.I thought she was just checking to clean up, so I didn't feel that way, but the next day I had breakfast (at 7:30). I visited you after going to Kakegawa Kachoen.The food is as shown in your photos.The pie-wrapped stew in the photo, chawanmushi, and sukiyaki were all very delicious. I couldn't eat it all.The room was quite retro, but it was well-cleaned and clean, so I didn't have any problems.The bath was so hot that you might have to stir it up first, but the quality of the hot springs was good and it felt very nice.It seems that there is also a private bath for day trips.I want to go out to eat again.

Even though it's close to my house, I always ask for it for memorial services and celebrations.The food is plentiful and delicious, and it's great to be able to relax. ️I held my grandson's 1st birthday party the other day and it was great☺️
