Although the price is reasonable, the quality of the spring water is good. Located in the post town of Suwa Taisha Shrine, which has been deeply worshiped since ancient times, you can enjoy the historical atmosphere.

I stayed on a Sunday with a same-day reservation. The hot springs I was looking forward to were luxurious and had free-flowing water, and the large public bath was simple and clean. However, it gave me a sense of history and was very nice. I'm glad that towels are always available in the changing room. Also, the blackboard message board at the entrance to the hot springs was retro and very nice, which made me feel warm.Although the plan did not include meals, there are many delicious restaurants within walking distance of the inn, so finding a meal was not a problem. There is also a local supermarket within a 10 minute walk. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, the customer service was very polite and warm.

A Japanese-style hot spring inn. The prices are reasonable, and the rooms and facilities are well-cleaned and comfortable. It's a family-run business, and the customer service is warm. There is a communal open-air bath, and although the amount of hot water is not abundant, it was a quiet place to relax.I stayed here to see Suwa Taisha Shrine, so I'm glad that Akimiya is so close. There are many sightseeing spots and restaurants within walking distance (I think you can walk to Shimosuwa Station), and the people at the inn will be happy to give you advice. You may also have the option of staying on a breakfast-only plan and having dinner nearby.

At the time you would normally take an open-air bath,Apparently they give priority to people with disabilities, so I don't think I'll be able to get in after all. It's a shame as I was looking forward to it.Apparently I wasn't a customer.

I used it for a day trip, but it would be a waste if I only used it for a day trip.I think it's a wonderful inn.I would definitely like to stay there next time.

I used it for a day trip bath. Looking at the photos, I found out that it was a calm and quiet inn, and when I inquired, I found out that I could easily take a day trip to the bathing area. The location was close to Shimosha Akimiya of Suwa Taisha Shrine. As soon as you enter the slope called Kinmonzaka from the direction of Suwa Taisha Shrine, you will see an information sign. There was a parking lot when I entered the alley.Day-trippers were able to use both the indoor bath and the open-air bath. The indoor bath and open-air bath are located in separate locations, so you need to change your clothes before using them. Furthermore, I was told that the indoor bath can be used normally, but the open-air bath is reserved for private use and cannot be used if there is a reservation. I had the impression that the hot springs in Shimosuwa were hot, but the hot springs here had clean, slightly lukewarm water poured into a slightly smaller bathtub. Both baths use the sacred cotton water source. When I checked at the reception, I was told that there were no reservations for that day, so I was able to use the open-air bath. I had thought that I would not be able to use the open-air bath, so I can say that it was a happy miscalculation. The open-air bath was located in a part of the elegant garden. There was a pond in one part of the garden, and carp were swimming in the pond. I was able to spend a quiet and relaxing time listening to the sounds of nature. I think we were able to enjoy a very nice hot spring. There are provided towels (tenugui size) in the changing room of the indoor bath that you can use. A water server is installed inside the building, and you can drink water that has been filtered through an obsidian filter. I think this is a ryokan that will be liked by a variety of people.
