This is the ruins of "Sukukuzaemon" where Matsuo Basho and Sora stayed during their "Oku-no-Hosomichi" pilgrimage.Currently a restaurant specializing in salmon. When making a reservation, you must also tell them the menu.

You can enjoy a salmon course meal. When I tried to make a reservation on Sunday, all the advance reservation slots were filled two weeks in advance.I was told that I could make a reservation on the same day, and when I arrived just in time, there were already several people with their names listed. The food looked beautiful and tasted exquisite.I visited from Niigata City, and I was very satisfied that I was able to enjoy great food within a reasonable driving distance.

For some reason, it is a lodging facility, so the guest room → food.I called about 10 days ago and was able to get the 1pm class. It seems like the 11:00 and 12:00 slots fill up quickly. You will need to tell them the menu when making a reservation, so make sure you decide before calling. It seems that you can add items like a la carte dishes at the restaurant. When I went to the store, I was glad I made a reservation because it seemed that the reception was closed on the day. Your name will be called in order from exactly 1:00 pm.I thought an 11-dish set would be a good idea to enjoy a variety of Murakami's unique salmon dishes, but no matter how I thought about it, they were all snacks. Since I was driving, I ordered ``Harako Meshi,'' which was mainly rice. It's a bowl of salmon roe that costs about 5,000 yen. What kind of stuff will come out?First, four appetizers and dashi soup are brought to you, and the waiter sits up straight and tells you the story of Murakami salmon.Appetizers include cold air-dried milt, simmered turnips, raw ham temari sushi, and grilled pickles. It seems that the dashi soup is made into a soup by adding Mitsuba.I understand, but all of them are the best side dishes. I wonder why it's only open during the day. After that, the main ingredients, Harako rice and Shiobiki, appeared. I buy Kikkawa's Harako pickled in soy sauce every year. The salmon roe is large but fluffy with soft skin. Dipped in a special sauce, it is definitely the best companion for food. The rice is freshly cooked Koshihikari from Sekikawa Village, so it's irresistible. If you eat a little rice with salt, pour it all over it.Of course, the harako and salted vegetables were even better than I expected, but the rice bran pickles that came with them were even better. Please give me more.Lastly, we had homemade amazake for dessert. Even though it has zero sugar, it has an overwhelming glucose sweetness. amazing. You can feel the grains of rice so much that this alone can be breakfast. It's definitely a dessert.I thought it would be a little expensive, but it was more than worth the price and I was able to fully appreciate the greatness of Murakami's salmon. I would like to order a set of 11 or more dishes and drink it... I wonder if they will actually become a lodging facility and serve it for dinner.
