This is a long-established inn that serves delicious, fresh, locally caught fish. There was quite a line at lunchtime, but we were able to enjoy our meal while looking out at the ocean.

2024.10.09 AccommodationI stayed here a long time ago in September 2005 when touring around Kyushu, and the bonito tataki was delicious, so I used it as a place to stay for my Chiran touring. The room is just for sleeping and has a separate toilet and bath, but if you stay with 2 people you can stay at a cheap price. The public bath is a hot spring, the bonito tataki is delicious as always, and the futons are thin, but considering the price, it's an easy-to-use accommodation.

Get off at Yamakawa Station (unable to go to Makurazaki due to the typhoon). We had lunch at a restaurant in front of the station. The main dishes are bonito and seafood, but this time I had the "Kagoshima Kurobuta Tonkatsu Set Meal (sorry for the bent belly button!)".It was a bit fatty, but the two pieces were fried to a crisp. It was delicious.

Used for overnight stay. They prepared a room for us even though we had to contact them at short notice. The toilet and refrigerator are shared. Depending on the room, there is a TV and air conditioning. Close to the sea, children can have fun searching for crabs and fish. The only thing is that the hallway is hot and there is only a fan in the bathroom, so be prepared for it in the summer. Recommended for people who don't mind having a lot of children at training camps etc.

As expected during the Obon period, it was crowded and we waited for an hour after checking in! Lunch customers should wait outside or in their cars.During the busy season, we recommend that you aim to go when the store opens at 11am! Seafood items especially sell out quickly! I want to go again because the menu is rich 🌻

In the summer of 2023, I stopped by on a walking trip across Japan. The seared bonito was delicious. It was a hot day, so the onions were refreshing and easy to eat, and the aroma of ginger and garlic whet my appetite.I was able to sit by the window overlooking the ocean and the view was beautiful.

I visited the restaurant several times while staying nearby for work rather than staying overnight. The location is diagonally opposite Yamakawa Station, and the parking lot is behind the store.Although the business hours are short, the food was delicious!Recommended dishes are salt-grilled amberjack and cutlet curry. It has a lot of meat and is very filling! If I ate it alone, it was so oily that I would feel sick to my stomach the next day!The curry was a delicious mushy type of curry!I will go again if I have a chance.
