This is a retro inn from the Showa era. It was a wonderful, purely Japanese-style room, which is rare these days. Prices must be paid in cash only. Prices are reasonable, ranging from around 5,000 yen on weekdays to around 6,000 yen on weekends. The breakfast was delicious with gentle flavors using local ingredients. I hope that these kind of family-run, friendly inns, which are different from hotel chains, will never disappear.

It takes about 2.7km and 40 minutes to walk from Niigata Station. It takes about 15 minutes to take the bus to the bus stop at Bandai Bus Center and walk. Although the building is old, it is well kept. The room has yukata, bath towels, hand-stitched clothes, tea and hot water. We do not have a kettle or refrigerator, but you may be able to borrow one. Payment is in cash only. It was helpful to be able to borrow a washing machine. The food was not luxurious, but it was homemade using the best ingredients. It was a room meal. The bathroom is also clean.
