It's a wonderful inn with a lot of history.I was really lucky to find this inn as it wasn't listed on so-called reservation sites. The hostess's thoughtfulness is wonderful.Delicious meals, a private family bath, and this price is way too low!I would definitely stay there again.

This is my 4th time visiting Shibu Onsen. There is a parking lot, and I was very interested in the former Sanada family headquarters and family bath, so I made a tentative reservation for an 8-tatami room from the hotel's website. There is hot spring heating and a kotatsu, but it was a little colder than the next room, so I changed to the next room.Nagano snow season. This was a great help for me, who was worried that it would be cold after all because I don't like the cold. The parking lot is in front of the hotel, and the location around the outdoor bath is also good. The room was well heated and warm with a kotatsu. It was well-built, well-maintained, and quiet, so I felt confident that I would be able to spend a comfortable time here.It was also nice to hear the sound of someone's geta walking on the stone pavement from outside the room. It's a family bath, but it's in a grand building with a soft cypress bathtub and the water is just right. (Shibu Onsen is quite hot, but the landlady told me that it tends to get hot at the top, and the bottom is loose, so as long as you stir it well, it's okay.)The slight scent of cypress is also soothing.I ended up taking both the indoor bath and the family bath many times. There is no outdoor bath this time lolI would like to thank the landlady for her thoughtfulness and kindness as she took care of everything from beginning to end and provided detailed explanations. thank you very much.Aristocrats such as Natsume Soseki, Wakayama Bokusui, Kobayashi Issa, etc.Being able to stay at the inn you visited was a precious memory.Recommended for history, retro lovers, hot spring enthusiasts (we reserved it for the day), and for those who like it.

Shibu Onsen is a nice hot spring town that retains a precious atmosphere in modern times, and is home to several famous inns, including a hardware store. …

It seems that this inn began when Masanori Fukushima's vassals who followed him from Aki Province opened an inn in Shibu Onsen when he was transferred to Takai District, Shinano Province. The building dates back to the Edo period and is currently being used while being restored. We recommend this inn to those who prefer historical experiences rather than modern beauty and convenience. It was a valuable experience as I could feel the era in the subtle details of the architecture.

It was a very good trip thanks to the hostess who cares about her customers. The proprietress is managing the restaurant by herself. Since 70% of our customers are repeat customers, we don't advertise or raise prices. That's what he said. This is an inn that I would like to visit again soon.

I was lucky to be able to stay at Tsubataya, which was the main hotel. I was shown the room where Natsume Soseki stayed. I'm impressed by the buildings from the Edo period. I stayed for 3 consecutive nights. The hostess's personality and the atmosphere of the inn were great♪

I stayed here 8 years ago when my wife was pregnant. As you can see, the building is beautiful and has a historical feel to it.In addition, what is especially wonderful is the personality and warmth of the landlady. They encouraged my unborn child with many words of encouragement. Thanks to all of you, I am growing up to be an honest and energetic girl.Looking at the recent reviews, I was happy to see that the landlady's personality continues to be positive. If I have a chance, I would like to take my child there again.
