Hotel Sou

I wasn't staying there, but I was able to take a tour. I definitely want to stay there!

I stayed one night at this hotel, which I had been interested in for a while. It was much more stylish than I expected, and I was very satisfied with the appearance and the room.And the owner was really kind. When I took the first ferry in the morning, they prepared it for me right away and I was able to check in early. This time, I was unable to make a reservation because the rental cars were full, so I was planning on renting a bicycle to get around, but they lent me a car and I was able to go to the various shops and places they told me about. All the restaurants she told me about were delicious and I had a really happy time.Thanks to choosing this hotel, the trip was more than twice as good. It was a space that made me want to go again. Thank you very much.

It was a very nice hotel where light and shadow coexisted. The colors are unified, there are no unnecessary items, and everything is properly stored, so you can enjoy a calm space.The hotel staff was very kind and I was able to enjoy sightseeing and play, making it a truly wonderful trip. thank you very much!*It was the perfect night to see the full moon from the hotel terrace.

A beautiful, very chic small designer hotel in Goto City! We would definitely recommend it to all our friends.Kuwata, our host was lovely, very helpful and also runs a very nice restaurant called Sotonoma, which offers breakfast and wonderful lunch plates. This cafe is also very stylish and super cozy 🫶🤩🌺😍

We stayed here for 2 nights in July 2023. Within walking distance from Fukue Port. It is about 10 minutes by car from Fukue Airport. There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, so you don't have to worry about renting a car. The guest room was a very nice space with no unnecessary things, giving you a feeling of something out of the ordinary. The rustic architecture that looks like broken concrete, the warm furniture, the natural light during the day, and the illumination at night were all wonderful. The open bath is very comfortable and there is a blindfold, which is good! There are plenty of amenities, and the hair dryer was refa, which was a good thing for women. There are delicious restaurants and bars nearby, so I was able to walk home after drinking, which was very convenient. Although it was unmanned, the owner was kind and helpful and taught me a lot about Goto, so I was very grateful! It's not a place I visit often, but next time I'd like to go on a sunny day and relax on the terrace!

The boldness of the design, as if the exterior walls had been torn down, and the delicate details of the lights, switches, shower, etc. coexisted, making it a refreshing experience. I could feel the attention to detail in everything, including the amenities, hair dryer, and Bluetooth speakers.The owner is friendly and enthusiastic. According to the story behind the hotel, the building was originally built by an architectural firm known for many church buildings in Nagasaki Prefecture, and then renovated into a hotel by a contemporary architect. The owner described it as a timeless "collaboration."He also recommended some pubs and bars. I went to the recommended restaurant and the delicious food and kindness of the local people made it a memorable experience. The hotel is located in the center of Fukue Island, within walking distance of Fukue Port and restaurants.I would definitely stay here again.I stayed in Room 202 (Single Room) in May.Hotel Sou is super-stylish as in the pictures. The hotel is selective about everything , including toiletries, a dryer, and a Bluetooth speaker.The owner is a cheerful and enthusiastic person. He told me the story about the hotel. The building was originally constructed by an architectural practice known for designing and building many churches in Nagasaki, and a contemporary architect renovated the building into a hotel, which he called "collaboration" beyond the era.He also recommended some izakaya restaurants and bars. The places were memorable for nice meals and kindness of local people. Since Hotel Sou is in the heart of Fukue Island, Fukue Port and many restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel.I would love to stay again.

I was interested in SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE's architecture and made a reservation. It seems that it was inspired by Gunkanjima, but it is not a full-scale building, but has a well-balanced design with parts with ceilings and walls repainted with mortar, giving it a clean feel.The home appliances are all black, and the hair dryer and shower head are from Refa (the president is from Goto), perhaps because the owner has an apparel background.The plants are grown at SOLSO FARM, so it's nice to turn off the lights in your room at night and look at the plants lit up.The owner's hospitality was also great, he introduced me to the best izakaya (he even made a reservation for me), and even provided a shuttle for me as it was raining on the day I checked out.

It was a building that blended perfectly with the exotic atmosphere of Goto.Although it has been renovated and has a very beautiful exterior, it does not stand out from the streetscape in a good way, nor does it stand out in a statement.Even though the rough structure is hidden in plain sight, the interior doesn't give off any unpleasant feeling at all.I learned a lot even just by staying for one night, but I have no indigestion at all lolIt was fun to cycle around the Goto Islands.Next time, I would like to study more as someone involved in architecture.I am also looking forward to the hotel in Tsushima.

The room is beautifully designed and spacious. The service was beyond expectations. They went above and beyond to help us have an amazing stay. It’s one of the most charming hotel rooms we have ever stayed in (and we have been to over 20 countries!).
