My girlfriend and I spent a day and a night here. Lovely rooms and onsens, one male, one female and one private one under the open sky. The couple who runs the hotel couldn’t be any nicer. Wholeheartedly reccomend this to anyone looking for a local experience in Shibu Onsen.

The owners are very kind and accommodating with a flawless welcome. They helped us get to the monkey park by car and also get a transport back the next day. They remain at your disposal. The rooms are very spacious and pleasant. The accommodation's onsen is mixed and can be privatized

A lovely couple runs this place, they are super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a traditional experience this place is what you're looking for, with spacious rooms and cultural atmosphere, this establishment was a highlight of my trip! This location has easy access to several public onsens, and the owners even drove us to and from the Snow Monkey Park, as well as the train station free of charge.

We received a warm welcome from the friendly owners who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. The ryokan's three onsen baths - separate for men and women, as well as a private/ mixed - provided a tranquil escape, even surpassing the nearby public onsen. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious vegetarian breakfast they prepared for us (also vegan option available on request). In addition to their hospitality within the ryokan, the owners offered complimentary transportation from/to the train station and kindly escorted us to the Snow Monkey Park. While the quality may not match that of a luxury ryokan charging 100,000 yen per night, the exceptional value and genuine warmth of this family-run establishment make it a worthwhile choice. Expect a traditional ryokan experience filled with hospitality, rather than luxurious amenities.
