All of the dishes prepared by the hostess were delicious and in just the right amount. The hand-drawn menu table also looks great. Because Jigokudani Monkey Park was off-season, the public bath was also reserved for private use. It's a bit disappointing that the open-air bath was lukewarm. The monkeysYou can see them up close even in the middle of summer, and they don't run away or attack you, so it might be a hidden gem in the off-season.

I stayed alone on Saturday and Sunday. The food was very delicious, but what was great was that the room had a hot spring bath. I went in 3 times. The appearance of the inn is Japanese and very atmospheric. The meals and guest rooms are separated, so it is recommended for people who want to spend a quiet time. I stayed for one night, but in the end I didn't meet any other guests!

Our stay here was amazing! The Onsen in our room was absolutely the best one I've ever been in, and there on-site public Onsen is also fantastic! Unlike other Onsens that claim to be pure but are often not, this place 100% pure hot springs water right from the ground. The staff are very friendly, helpful and fun to chat with. Last but certainly not least was the food. Your stay includes both breakfast and dinner, with a pre-fixed menu. The breakfasts are a huge array of options and dinner is a 4 course dinner. With limited restaurants nearby this makes staying here very appealing. The room is a traditional Japanese style, very well maintaned and beautiful.

Ladies and gentlemenGood eveningI wonder how many decades it will be? I spend the first year there every year.In the beginning, I was a wife and my husband stayed there on his way home, and later on, we started off on snowy roads to visit graves and return trips. Now that I am an animal welfare promoter, I have to take care of a rescue cat (house cat), so I come here only once a year, but I am very happy with Japan's tatami kotatsu culture. Hot springs, home-cooked food prepared by the landlady. For those of us who don't want fancy or extravagant dishes, we also enjoy nostalgic tableware from the Showa era. My mom loves the small breakfast box in the morning. It is a blessing to have conversations with the staff who always say welcome home. The history of inns also appears in Japanese literature. Yasunari Kawabata's overnight diary and above all, I am always soothed by the actions of the landlady, who grew up in a good family, including her simple cooking. In early 2024,Sorry to bother you again. We are looking forward to seeing you. This inn is recommended for its rustic Japanese atmosphere, home-cooked meals, and hot springs fed straight from the source.

It is located in a calm place where you can feel close to nature. The food is delicious and the baths are comfortable. However, the bath seems to be drawn directly from the source (upstream of Jigokudani), so it can be quite hot (over 50 degrees Celsius?). It seems that the temperature of the source rises rapidly depending on the weather, outside temperature, volcanic activity, etc. When this happens, no matter how hard you try to massage the water, it doesn't work, so you have no choice but to give up on taking a private bath and take a bath in the public bath.
