Really enjoyed staying here for a few nights. The owner worked with me to accommodate my travel plans ahead of time. This place is cozy, and even when hosting a party - there was plenty of room for the groups staying alongside the party downstairs. They have an electric bike rental with tons of bikes that are easy to use and travel across the area.Totally recommend staying here for a cozy getaway where you can bike to nearby towns, waterfalls, and islands. The bus system comes and goes from this town, but it should be noted that the bus stops on the opposite end of the bridge from the guesthouse (even if there is a stop with documentation next to the house)… the real bus stop is on the other end of the river. Hope this saves someone else, since the bus is hourly from the north down into Nagasaki.Check out the local shops too! Cute town!

This guest house is a hidden gem that gives us comfort and the beauty of nature. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the charm and warmth of rural Japan.I was impressed by how they turned an abandoned house into a beautiful and cozy guesthouse. The lobby area is so classic, with a full glass window offering stunning views of the forest and river. There are also charming details like CD players, CDs, and other decorations. The bar counter and free Wi-Fi throughout the house are also available. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfy. We could see the river through the window and the view was amazing. There are two bathrooms, one with a bathtub, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing Ofuro. It felt like a dreamy place, and I wish I could go there again. The owner's hospitality was exceptional. He was incredibly kind and welcoming. We attended his lecture on the revitalization of Yukinoura, which was interesting and inspiring for me as an ST student. His passion made me want to visit rural areas of Japan and promote tourism more. He even made drinks himself at the bar counter. The beautiful Japanese woman who is also the chef spoke excellent English and patiently explained each dish to us. Their warmth and dedication truly enhanced our experience, making it memorable.

I stayed here for 1 night and it was amazing!!! The food is good and guest house's owner is so friendly. They can speak English so please don’t worry about anythingI got sashimi, curry rice, some grilled stuff and lemon sour for dinnerThe room and other facilities is clean. We also rented e-bike to ride around the town and see the beautiful view for 3 hours (but they also have the 8-hour option). On every Friday, they have a local music band come and play music. We could enjoy our delicious meal while listening to the music 😍 perfect for going with friends or familyThey have Yukinoura week during golden week as well so please visit Saikai city when you have timeIt was my best experience in Japan
