This is a very rare and realistic accommodation in an old private house. The location was a little out of the way, but the owner sent me a very detailed map so I didn't get lost. The building is old, but the heating is good, so you can sleep warmly even in the cold season. Dinner at Irori uses local ingredients, including fresh rice, meat, and vegetables, all of which are exquisite. The owner was also very courteous and told us about delicious restaurants and sightseeing spots nearby. I would definitely like to come stay again.

Very beautiful and authentic experience.Kazo San is a thoughtful host who was able to inform us about many points of interest. He also introduced us to good local gastronomic products during a meal that he prepared for us and which we were able to enjoy around the traditional hearth of the house.Living a few nights in this old house in the middle of the forest was a great break in our trip.

1 hour drive from Narai-juku and many other popular attractions. This was probably the most unique and generally best experience I personally had at a bnb so far.The accommodation itself feels rich in history and authenticity. It's a very old house but heating is provided with multiple amenities, so the old fashioned insulation was no problem for us in winter time. The host himself was also one of the main reasons this accommodation is on top of our list, as he provided the most warm welcome with dinner prepared from local ingredients (the rice literally came from the field next door) over the traditional irori fireplace, showed us around the countryside and local activities / sights and made the experience just great and personal in general.Definitely repeatable for us and recomendable for anyone who wants to retreat from the overwhelming city life and experience the calm, quaintness and beauty  of rural nagano
