A hot spring guesthouse with 8 rooms in total.Reservations made through the comprehensive travel website ``Jalan'' are available for one night, breakfast and dinner included, for 12,000 yen per person (excluding bathing tax). There is only one hot spring bath in a separate building for day-trippers and a shared open-air bath. Of course, by gender. The guest room I used was a 10 tatami Japanese-style room with a shared toilet and sink, and there was no bathroom/shower room attached to the room, so please be aware of this if you are unable to use shared facilities.According to Jalan, for dinner, they order Shinshu beef grilled on a ceramic plate or sukiyaki, which is grilled on a ceramic plate.Breakfast will be like a typical Japanese breakfast at a Japanese inn.

For the second year in a row, I have stayed overnight without meals to participate in the Obuse marathon in July. The open-air bath is large and you can soak in it comfortably. I was surprised to see that the temperature of the hot water was different at night and during the day. Maybe it's because the hot water is running directly through the water, but the hot water during the day was soothing for my tired muscles after a marathon. The room is bright and clean. I was able to sleep peacefully and soundly without worrying about the noise from the next room.I'm also happy that the host and landlady are so kind and helpful. Someday I would like to stay there with meals and relax.

A very very good Ryokan! The place is very calm and relaxing. We were very well received by the staff upon check-in and very well supported during our stay! The baths are really very pleasant and we often found ourselves alone which is even more soothing. An address to visit! If not just for the monkeys, at least for the excellent atmosphere of the place!

Excellent hotel for those who want to live the true experience in a family home in the Japanese mountains. You sleep on futons, it has its own outdoor onsen, and the breakfast and dinner (exquisite) are made with a lot of love and delicacy. The couple that runs it are super friendly and, although they don't speak English, they make themselves understood perfectly. The husband offered to take us to the station on the last day.❤️The hotel is not “very” close to the town but it is a pleasant walk where you discover the other, less touristy side of Shibu Onsen. Also, the bus that goes from the station to Snow Monkey Park leaves you at the door of the hotel, although on foot, the hotel is about 30 minutes from the park.I highly recommend this family hotel.

The Ryokan is beautiful and the couple that runs it is super friendly! The food was delicious and we particularly enjoyed the Onsen. We had the Onsen almost every time to ourselves. The Ryokan is also located close to the monkey park. Our favorite part of our stay however, was our day trip to „Obuse“, which was recommended to us by the lady of the ryokan. Obuse is a beautiful old town, rich of history and culture. Definitely recommend staying at this very special place

Although it is a guesthouse, the husband and the landlady provide very kind customer service. They also treated tourists from overseas with respect.I'm very happy to be able to use it in my hot water. The food wasn't luxurious, but I felt like each item was carefully prepared. The only alcohol available for dinner is bottled beer and sake. For the rest, you can buy whatever you like from the vending machine at the entrance.

Beautiful 2* accommodation with warm hosts. The outside onsen is very nice. My tip is to use it very early or from 9 p.m. Heavenly peace.
