The other day, I visited the Tenku Free Site for one night.Although it was a weekday during the summer vacation season, there were no campers other than us, so we had the spacious space reserved for our own use.It has a hot spring bath, an administration building, and clean facilities. We had fun camping.Below are the good points and the points that bothered me.Good points・Facilities including hot springs are clean. It's also nice to have a coin-operated washing machine.・The view from the sky free site is outstanding.・Due to the high altitude, the nights are very cool.・The staff is very responsive.・The store is well stocked.・It was nice to have hot drinks in the vending machines even in the summer. (Because it gets cold at night)・The hot dog I received for breakfast was very delicious.・I didn't use it, but apparently there is also a tent drying service.Points that caught my attention・The usage fee is a bit high, but is it reasonable for campgrounds with administrative buildings, including the ones mentioned above?・I'm concerned about insects in the open-air bath. Being in the mountains, there are many horseflies and dragonflies. I hung up insect repellent incense sticks, but personally I would like them to put up a net even if it spoils the scenery to some extent. Also, it would be nice if there was a net to scoop up carcasses.・The ground at the Tenku Free Site is extremely hard, probably because it is used as a parking lot in the winter. Forged pegs or titanium pegs + peg handles are required.・Hot springs, washing areas, and toilets are extremely far from the Tenku Free Site. In particular, the scenic spot recommended by the staff was located farthest from the waterhole, and it took a 15-minute round trip walk from the washing area. It may be difficult, but I would appreciate it if you could rent a bicycle.Points to note・There are no supermarkets or convenience stores nearby. The bare essentials are available at the shop, but be careful not to forget to buy anything.・There is a large difference in temperature between day and night. Even if the temperature is 28℃ during the day, it drops to the 10s once the sun sets. Although the temperature will not make it difficult to sleep, be sure to prepare at least some cold protection.・Be careful of strong winds. The surrounding area is quite open. There may be gusts of wind, so be sure to secure it with guylines and pegs. Also be careful of sparks from bonfires.Although there are some concerns, the campsite has hot springs and a shop, so it's not hard to sleep at night, making it the perfect place to go in the summer. It's also attractive to have a hot air balloon experience.Although the schedule didn't work out this time, I would definitely like to ride it next time.Sorry for the long post.
